I have already submitted and had approved my K-1 visa application, and am now in the stage where we are waiting to get our interview date and gathering our necessary documents. However, what documents do I need to send to my alien fiance, who is in Brazil? I know I will need an updated Intent to Marry, a copy of my total application package that I submitted, and an I-134 proof of financial support form. I saw that it's recommended to have W-2 forms from my current job and in best case W-2s from as far back as three years prior. But do I also need copies of my tax return transcripts, or will the W-2 forms suffice?

Okay, thank you! And have you, or anyone, had an issue getting your tax returns from the IRS website? When I try to get the online forms, even though I am using the exact address from my W-2, it says it can't complete the request due to information discrepancies because of my address. I live in an apartment, so I'm assuming that the apartment number is throwing the system off, but I've tried writing it and leaving it out in every way I can imagine with no luck.

I'm the Brazilian one, so I'm not sure about the tax transcripts, sorry. Have you tried calling or going to an actual irs office to get them?

Good luck

I'll ask on my regional thread too. I'm the Brazilian beneficiary. I figured the OP should ask about it here because it's all related to documents from the american government.

Each Embassy are not the same in what they require at the interview. I'm familiar with what is required for the Philippines and their requirements are different whereas they require a CENOMAR and an NBI certificate. Because those documents are specific to the Philippines there maybe documents that are specific to Brazil hence I recommend your Embassy's forum for the best answer.

Tax transcripts can be ordered from hear https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

We recently were trying to order the IRS tax transcripts as well and getting the same answer even though we own the home.

Your best bet is to go into the closest irs office and just pick it up- you have time. They usually just print it out right then and there for you. Some offices require an appointment so call or look online before you go :)
