Timeline to Travel for Philippine Fiesta

Cart Before the Horse time...

We're in NOA1 status right now, as an early March filer. Following the timelines on VJ, it looks like a time frame of October/November that Annie might be able to move here.

The Big Fiesta in her home is in March each year.

If she actually is moved here in November, and we are effiecient at getting all the paperwork submitted quickly, is there a good chance, or no chance that we could attend the Fiesta in March 2008? (I'm guessing from what I've read, we'd have to apply for AP.)

lol, her family is already asking if we will be attending Fiesta next year, and since she's leaving for this year's Fiesta tomorrow, she's wanting to be able to say Maybe, or NOPE...

It took Claudeth 5 months to get her GC from filing the AOS and that was without an interview. You might want to consider applying for advanced parole when you submit the AOS papers. Good luck

Realistically I would say NOPE, but there is a chance if she arrives early November + 3-month "average" wait for AP if you immediately get married upon arrival and file the AOS and AP forms. But I've also heard that AP does not guarentee you re-entry into USA. (But I may have heard wrong). I would not want to have my wife travelling outside the country until she received her GC and legally can travel freely.

We're going with the statement to her family, that NO, we won't be there next year..

(lol, but if by some miracle we can, it can be a big surprise for them.)

lol, and now I just had to make the promise that SOMETIME in 2008, we will visit Bohol, Philippines..
