Hi everyone,

I was told to bring a birth certificate to attach to the supporting documents for the I-134. I currently do not have a copy of my birth certificate. Can I use a copy of my passport instead? That is what I used for the petition as well.

Thank you!

The beneficiary will need to obtain a certified copy of their birth certificate for interview.

The beneficiary will also need one to bring to the USA with them for future use. My fiance got 2 certified copies made.

The beneficiary's birth certificate is not one of the required documents for the I-129f petition package. Not sure why that was sent in.

Sorry I wasn't clear! I'm currently getting together my (petitioner) supporting documents to send to my fiancé for the I-134. I was told I (petitioner) need to add a birth certificate along with the supporting documents. I (petitioner) was wondering if I could attach my American passport instead of the birth certificate.
