I have been to Manila two times already to spend time with my fiance. Both times I have brought gifts such as perfume make up clothes stuffed animals and toy cars. The last time I knew we would be renting a condo together so I wanted it to feel like home when I visit so I brought about 200 of my hot Wheels cars. I never declared anything and never had a problem. I met a bunch of fellow collectors there over my last 3 month stay. I am going back next week and I am taking over 400 cars with me most are new in there package and about 250 are my personal collection but the others are gifts for friends and family. I am also bringing some perfumes and clothes for my fiance. I usually arrive at terminal 3 but this time it will be terminal 1 and I have heard there customs officers are more strict. These are just $1 toy cars but I am bringing a lot of them. Should i declare them this time and if I do what happens?

Let me start that I've never tried bringing 400 hot wheels through customs. Every time my wife and I go though, one suitcase is filled with liquor, candy, gifts all wrapped up in clothes. We just strolled through the "nothing to declare line". Never been stopped or questioned.

I would be more worried about the airline employees stealing them out of your luggage.
