Okay i received my first NOA on 8/4/2016 my 129-f was accepted 5/28/2016, not to bad i think and it went to California. But in the top right corner it says notice type on my NOA and it gives dates 8/4 to 12/03/2016 whats the meaninf of those dates in anyone could answer for me. Did they already put a date the visa is gonna be good till and does that mean ill recieve the seconed NOA in less than a month we will get our visa soon?!

You say your petition was accepted 5-28-16, this is the NOA1. What you got on 8-4-16 is the NOA2 of notice of approval. Your petition is valid until 12-3-16, but the embassy will re-validate it if necessary and has nothing to do with the validity of the visa. From now your petition will be routed through the NVC and then you will need to prepare everything necessary for the visa interview.

So i have a long wait still yet then .......

Maybe not, as kastrs pointed out, what you received on 8/04 is the NOA2.

We got our NOA2 about two weeks before you and then received MNL# from NVC two weeks after that and already have interview scheduled for 8/24.

If I were you, I'd start calling NVC for MNL # on about 8/15 and then call once a day until you get it.

From what I understand is that you have until the through date (12/03/2016) on your NOA2 to complete the K-1 visa or you will have to start over. Greenbaum or Hank can answer this better than I can. I agree with those above. Call NVC for your MNL# then you can set up your interview.

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
