Hi everyone, i know i've already ask question here regarding RFE for joint sponsor but i didn't get a satisfying answer so i thought since little by little things are becoming more clear to me, i might as well confirm and ask again.

Q1: My joint sponsor only gave me his 2015 tax return (i could ask for the last 3 years but is it really necessary?because in the form and on the RFE it stated "most recent" and including the whole shebang is optional).

Q2: Last year, his rental properties needed some fixing so he reported that as his loss therefore it has been deducted in his 1040 making his gross total income below the poverty line, but this year his annual income was raised and would likely meet the poverty guideline.

I have his Employment verification stating his job hours, wages, position etc. and I have his 6 months worth of paystubs, which shows his income is already above $20k would this be enough proofs to justify his current individual income? I'm thinking of including a cover letter explaining this too.

Pls. Help i am really still confused whether 2015 Tax return with w-2, 6 months pay stubs (current year), verification of employment with his current annual income etc., proof of citizenship and a cover letter explaining some details are enough.

Again, thank you for those who will take time to shed some light and share answers.
