Hi everyone,

I'm from the U.S. and I went to a local immigration office to check what was the best case for my husband and me both to go to the U.S. When I went to the immigration office they told me that the process would be easier if i resided in jordan for 1 year and then applied at the local USCIS, then i wouldn't have to mail the application to the states. I followed her advice and it's been a year and two months now. I went back to the immigration office about 2 weeks ago and they told me to send an email to the local (Amman) USCIS with a paper from the residency department stating that i have been in jordan for over a year, and with a work contract. Then email the office to schedule an interview for my spouse and me for the I-130 application. The email was sent on July 26th, and I am still waiting to hear back for an interview time... Has anyone been through this process? If so how long did it take you to have the interview? The immigration office told me that I cannot go back to the U.S. until I finish the first interview, and then I would be able to go back home. However, if i left before the first interview, i would need to reapply from the states and the current application would be cancelled.

I really want to go back home as I haven't gone home for over a year!! Can someone please tell me about your own experiences if they have been similar to mine!?

Thanks!

you're at the interview stage, why would you go back to the US to start over and wait another year to get your spouse here? July 26 wasn't even 2 weeks ago, be patient. It is rare for someone to file DCF in Amman, no one here will be able to answer your question. Email the consulate and ask them would be your best bet

So we sent the I 130 package in on October 4th. THey told us they would give us a response in 30-90 days and it is not December 8th and I haven't heard anything from USCIS!!! I'm wondering what is the waiting time to get an interview date after I 130 petition has been approved under Direct Consular Filing? Does anyone know???
