UPDATE:

Date: 12 August 2016

Time: 1815 EST

Called NVC. No case number AGAIN.

The girl I talked to said the best days to call are Wednesday and Friday. She didn't elaborate why, but I can speculate. Maybe Wed and Fri cases are received from NVC or maybe cases are updated in the system on those days. Either way, it will be another weekend with no answers.

Farzram, anything good to share?

Hey guys! I'm in the boat with you all too. :( June 13th NOA2, no sign of NVC receiving our case yet. Contacted my local congresswoman's office through email, emailed the NVC research team, and have a service request put in with the USCIS as of July 25th. Not sure what else I can do at this point.

Stay strong, my friends. :)

Hey there guys , I called 11:30pm est time Friday and NOT RECEIVED. Soooo frustrating.

Teacat- same here. Contacted my local senators office they contacted USCIS on July 27th and said USCIS said give them 30 days to respond to their inquiry...... The waiting game continues and it's so so hard.

I'm currently visiting my fiancé- I am a January 2016 filer was approved June 8th. I've been in Afghanistan since Mid February visiting, got an RFE overseas, and was approved June 8th. I was planning to leave early June but when I got approved I decided to stay thinking it would get to NVC within normal time frame- and then we could get an interview date for a month after 2 months at the most.....

Obviously that didn't happen because I am waiting 65 days since I was approved and I still haven't reached NVC when by now I probably would've had an interview date by late August or mid September if all went well and me and my fiancé could have traveled to states together.

I guess I'm sorta ranting here because this is SUPER frustrating the more I think about it. The situation in Afghanistan is NOT SAFE. And I am not used to anything here- but I stuck it out thinking how amazing it would be to go back together. I've been in and out of the hospital sick due to the weather and food here atleast 3 times a month every month since I've been here and it seems it all went to waste because I'll be coming back home in about a week and half because my body and mind just cannot take it here anymore and I need to come back home for my health and sanity.

This is so hard and really puts a toll on everyone's lives with this waiting game that seems soooo unfair because when you see people approved a month after you - and they are at NVC within 10-14 days it just makes you say " WHY ME?!"

My fiance and i did a couple of research about this part of the k1 process. We read different blogs with regards to their experiences.

I read somewhere that the best time to call NVC is in the morning or 9pm to midnight. And to call everyday.

The first call my fiance did was around 4pm. He was adviced to call back after 6 weeks. He relayed the message to me. I told him about what i read and from then on, he started calling everyday at 9pm CST. Regardless what they say when to call back, he calls them everyday on the same time. 10days after our NOA2, We got our case number.

A friend of mine got their case number 5 hours after he placed his first call. Initially he was adviced to call after 6weeks, 5 hours after, he called back and he got the case number.

I agree it's better to call during those times which I do and I know gregory&dyn calls fairly late too.

They kept telling me 6 weeks also and I also kept calling every day or every other day, but I've hit way past the 6 week mark I'm at about 9 weeks now. Very frustrating

Oh my goodness.. :( Wow you have been through absolute hell to be with your fiance, much respect to you for that. I completely understand you wanting to tough it out so that you and your fiance could come to the US triumphantly together, but yes, you are making 100% the right decision by coming home and waiting here for the sake of your health. You're doing the right thing.

It is so freaking hard. I cannot agree more, I don't even look at the March 2016 filer thread anymore because I just can't stand it. And just how rude and nonchalant the tier 1 USCIS people are.. almost everytime I get off the phone with them I am in tears. They just DO NOT give a , they do not care at all this whole process is putting our lives on hold and we're just trying to be with our loved one. I cannot comprehend why they aren't kinder to us, if they put themselves in our shoes for one second.. they'd at least be a little nicer on the phone.

I just feel like cattle at this point. My fiance and I.. are just numbers, in a sea of bureaucracy. I want him here so badly. :(

I feel for you!!!!!! I cAn barely look at any of those threads it's discouraging to say the least. And I couldn't agree more the tier 1 and 2s at USCIS are so rude- they told me not to call back and it was the first time I had called to inquire.... They're so rude and I wish they could understand how it feels to be in our shoes. I realized they are NO HELP. they honestly do not care, even though they should. We have been approved and waiting so long- it's not like we are trying to cut the line and get our process ahead of others.

I pray for myself and for all of you everyday! I really hope we get some news this is so hard and discouraging I just don't know what to do anymore.

Anybody have updates? Any good news on your end?

We received our NOA2 on 07 July 2016. We are one day away from six weeks since USCIS allegedly sent our case to NVC. NVC claims they have yet to receive it.

How is it that so many other April filers have already cleared the NVC stage and we were left behind?

I have an update, sort of. NVC Research responded and said that they have not received our paperwork and will look into it. I called the Senator's office yesterday and sent them the authorization form so that they can help look into it. At this point, I feel I've done everything possible. Trying to be patient. I'm lucky that my fiance will be here in two weeks for a visit. Cannot wait!

So what's the bottom line? "Looking into it" sounds like a blow off. Has anybody offered any solid answers? Do they know approximately where / when / how the case was lost? More importantly, has anybody suggested what happens next? Do you need to start from scratch? I'm tracking your case because we are right behind you. I am really afraid of what happens next.

Unfortunately, there are no definitive answers and what happens next remains to be seen. NVC has said (a) it can take another six weeks for them to research it, (b) there is no timeframe for locating the paperwork, and © it's approved so just wait it out...depending on who I spoke with. They virtually all have referenced heavy caseloads and increased immigration petitions, and all but one have been pleasant and as helpful as they could be. I think it's just a massive system and our paperwork happened to fall through the cracks. I'm choosing to remain optimistic at this point. Nobody has mentioned starting over, thankfully. I'll keep you updated as I get info. Will you please do the same? Maybe our paperwork is lost in the same batch.

Its so sad that there is no way to track these cases. At the very least, each case should be scanned and digitally stored for safekeeping. And the fact that it is a massive system with heavy caseloads just emphasizes the fact the system is primitive and archaic. It should never take six weeks to move between CSC and NVC. Although, if there was some consistency between cases, I might understand. Sadly, it all seems willy-nilly. I've witnessed several cases process through NVC in less than two weeks, while others of the same type / country / approval date take forever and ever.
