Hello,

My k1 Case Status Has been Ready At the U.S Embassy in Beirut- Lebanon Since August 1/2016

I e-mailed the embassy The following day inquiring About the time frame for the interview to be scheduled.

They haven't response back perhaps due to backlog They been going through lately.

How long usually takes for the embassy to schedule A interview after its received from the national visa center?

any help or suggestion would be appreciate it :)

Hey Azzein.

Have you been through this process before?

How did you know it might take up to 60 days?

I went thru CR-1 Visa process, but I know someone who went thru K1 and it took around 60 days.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

Why don't you check the embassy website, the instruction is very clear now:

You do NOT wait for them to schedule your visa interview, you do that.

It's the same process as you do a B1/B2 visa and pay the bank slip and schedule your interview online (select K visa category) yourself and your fiancee attend.

Link 1 for all info you need:

http://lebanon.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas/required-forms-and-appointment-instructions/instructions-for-completing-an-application-for-a-k-visa.html

Link 2 for appointment:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/lb/lb-niv-appointmentschedule.asp

I just checked for you, as of today the first available appointment is september 15, the more you delay yourself the more the appointment will shift.

Current wait time is 1 month 2 days.

P.S: the embassy doesn't reply to anything they have the answer to on their website so you shouldnt wait for an answer. Proceed as the instruction above to move forward.

Goodluck

Hey K1V1

These instructions was provided to me By A e-mail replay i recently sent to Beirutiv@state.gov

Fiancé(e) K-1 and Spouse K-3 Visas
We are currently experiencing a high volume of K1/K3 petitions and have a significant backlog. Once we receive a file from NVC we will email the petitioner and beneficiary and provide instructions on required documents and procedures. Please make sure you provide a valid email address on your petition, or we may not be able to contact you upon receipt of your file. Any petitions that expire during this period will be extended as necessary to cover the additional time.

What you think? should i schedule online without that notification(e-mail) i suppose to receive from them?

My Case has been received Since August 1ST and updated on the 3rd and on the 9th it updated as well But my status remain as ( Read )

Man, this is an automated reply you get if u send 1 word or a paragraph. Its irrelevant. I'll take a guess and assume you know your case was received by the embassy bt checking the NVC case statys website which should tell you your case is ready at the consolar section at the embassy you provided etc..

If not how do you know they received it?

Anyway yes u dont need their file to schedule your interview, get ahead of urself and finish the DS160 application and schedule your interview, in Lebanon they usually call your fiancee 2 weeks after they get it and email her the list required thats it (no hard copies). U get everything ready (things i sent you from the website) and go to the embassy at the datr of the interview.

Worst case if they delayed the called you can reschedule the interview (your allowed up to 3 times).

So get all papers ready and proceed.

I'm in the us right now and i will do like you said. schedule the interview and book a flight to beirut.

But what about the medical exams? How would i attempt that without any e-mail or notice?

You think the Case number is enough for the doctors to perform the process without any notification from the embassy?

I know they received it cuz i tracked it lol DHL.

it was received on august the 1st plus here what it says on the CEAC website.

Case Creation Date:

29-Jul-2016 Status Updated Date: 09-Aug-2016

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:

U can fill the application but ur fiancee needs to go personally to credit libanais bank in lebanon with her passport and the confirmation page of the application printed out and pay 265$ and get the receipt which you will need to schedule ur interview online.

The medical test is the easiest part, one u call the doctor he will schedule her within 1 week max but she CANNOT schedule without the embassy email and request.

Thats all. Follow the process its very easy and simple and straight forward.

Hi achrafmira I am in the same boat as you. My fiance is in lebanon. As of 8/17 my case made it to the embassy, i believe. because when I track it through nvc it say ready. It also says "Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at::

As of right now we havent got an email/phone call from embassy, we dont have an interview date, we didnt even fill out the ds160. we dont know what to do or how to approach it. OR if we can schedule the interview and medical with our case number?
