ap in advance?

I probably already know the answer to this but just curious...has anyone in MENA ever requested that their SO be put on AP in advance of the interview? I mean it would make sense to do it before the interview wouldn't it? Since you just wait and wait for it to be scheduled anyways. I wonder what Cairo would do if when we get the noa2, insha Allah, I requested this to be done before the interview.

Hahahahahaha, you're joking, right? As if they care what WE want or request. That would only work in fantasyland Egypt.

Actually, considering the way things are moving.......or not moving........we probably should have been asked to be put on AP when we got NOA1!!

Or.......better yet.......perhaps it should become part of the wedding day ritual for those getting married in cairo.....ladies, get your hair done, your nails done, put on your dress, do your katb kitab, take your pictures.......then remember to call the cairo embassy and request to be put on AP niiiiiiiice and early.....even before filing any I130's, 129's, 325's, etc. forms......so they can have PLENTY of time to administer all of their processing to their hearts' content!!!

My husband's funny......his father & uncles have mango farms and his uncle told him the harvest was gonna be good this year.....he was joking with me yesterday & said....."do you think I should send them (the CO's at cairo) a case of mangos...... they are delicious......would they give me the visa quicker!?!?!"

Never hurts to try and if it doesn't work we'll still be here with you!

My guess is the security checks begin after the interview for reasons. 1) They only process the approved visas and 2) they need the fingerprint(s) that they take at the interview.

But Doodle, I agree with Lion_Lioness- couldn't hurt to ask if you can get the process started.
