I HATE Walmart. It is dirty, sticky and they only sell junk. And if you pay attention, they have a few good deals, but they are actually MORE expensive than other stores. I am shocked that people have been soooo brainwashed to LOW PRICES ALWAYS. Yeah, that is how the Waltons are worth 60 Billion dollars... :dead:

Target is definitely more exciting. Walmart is more convenient, because it;s closer to my house and has groceries, too. I prefer Target, though.

On the basis Walmart will price match any store within (here it 50 mile) radius this makes this statement refrence pricing a total lie.

I don't agree with how walmart treats their employees...

I am a Walmart cashier, I earn more than any other local job requiring same credentials, I work the hours I chose to say I am available, i have health care and pension available - the first I dont need as I am on my husbands policy and the second I haven't looked into . Exactly what is it in this that you dont approve of?

I shop at both but to compare them is to me like comparing John Lewis and Tesco's in the UK a case of horse for courses

Walmart as it's down the road, but if we had a Super Target near us I'd be there all the time - although I do feel Walmart is a lot cheaper. Target's clothes and home furnishings are a lot better than Walmart's. My husband is a former Walmart asst. manager and he tries to go there as little as possible :P

For groceries, though, the best for us is Tom Thumb, but it's expensive and only worth going to if you have their Remarkable rewards card.

Has to be Walmart, no Target way out here in the middle of nowhere. Never been in a Target. Our little town is having a major debate over whether or not to welcome a new SuperWalmart to our town. They don't want to push out the little"local" businesses, but NO ONE but tourists can shop "local" cause the prices are too dang high!!!! Can't even buy a pair of underwear in this town!!! Come on WALMART!!!!!

i will agree that target has trendier clothing and home furnishings than walmart. but...i see no reason to pay higher prices for things like toilet paper and laundry soap.

so, we make walmart our main shopping experience...we even get our groceries there!

Target. I am a former employee and have some family members who work there, so I support their business any way I can.

Even if it weren't so, I just think that Target is much more classy, clean and customer service oriented, I go to Walmart only when I really wanna get a bargain.

Walmarts are too darn busy, have to wait in line at the cash registers forever, and their lower prices are not worth it to me to wait that long.

Groceries are more fresh at Target than they are at Walmart, I throw away a lot of spoiled fruits and veggies when I buy them at Walmart.

ok, I don't think I would buy produce form Walmart but I do like to buy canned products there though

I just wanted to mention that since I posted this I have shopped at the Walmart Supercenter, last week in fact.. and I found the produce to be good quality.. about the same as I find anywhere else I have shopped....

it was nice buying all my shampoo, toothpaste and grocery items all at one place..
