I love Walmart for everyday things....ours in town in is a Super Walmart, so i do all my groceries and everything there.

Target is 30 minutes away, but it's so fun!!! It's got a lot of different style of things and is a good substitute to our WalMart! :P

Shop at both, but prefer Target. Their "things" seem to be of generally higher quality and slightly funkier. We do have a Sam's Club membership we use a lot though, and that's part of the Walmart group.

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

I am still puzzled by the statement that Walmart is dirty

Me either. I have never walked around Wal-Mart with a with glove checking for dirt, but the stores look reasonably clean and the bathrooms (were you can really tell how clean a place is) are always clean.

one of the dirtiest bathrooms I have seen around here was at Babies R Us  (don't get any ideas, I was shopping for a baby shower gift :P ) it was so weird because the rest of the store was nice and clean and neat

Only 3 people out of 65 votes don't shop at Walmart or Target :o

:crying: Well, I can't wait until we get back to the States and I can shop at Wal-Mart or Target and all the other stores that I miss so much. Shopping here is so bad and so expensive. As for bathrooms, lol, here in New Zealand, they don't have bathrooms in stores. If you are at a mall, there will be a central bathroom, but the local stores don't have 'em. Outside are the Public Toilets. :help: I hate them. Smelly and cold. No central heat anywhere. Believe me, I will never complain about US store and shopping again. I am counting the days, lol. :clock::yes:

8-12-2004 I moved to New Zealand(married my Kiwi in US 5/04)

Definately Target. Things are much better quality and service is faster and friendlier. We have shopped at Walmart, but not often. When we got our first house together we bought a lot of "value" furniture from Walmart due to the low prices, sadly most of it went in the bin months ago. It's true you get what you pay for, and unfortunately most of Walmarts home products are hardly even worth the low price. We couldn't afford much at the time, but we have decided now we would rather go with out, get lesss stuff but makesure the stuff we have is really good stuff that is going to last.

Meijer's for sure.. (its a mostly michigan and a few other stores in close by states) they are a lot like Wal-Mart (except they dont have fabric.. only thing i dont like) but their staff is super friendly and they have great prices.. (and they are open 24 hours and have a huge grocery section.. as well as almost anything else.. ) That's where we go.. besides.. walmart is too far away..

 Well I liked Target until this week. All holidays they have put out cute tee-shirts.

I got a white one with a rhinestone black cat on it for Halloween, a black one with a Rhinestone red star on it for X-mas, a black T with silver hearts for Valentines Day, a black T with Green puffy paint dots for St. Pat's Day, but do they have Easter T-s with cute Rhinestone eggs, bunnies or flowers..... NOOOOO!!! They have 4th of July Shirts out already!

I think I will check at Walmart.....

What's wrong with this picture???

Doesn't Target like Easter????

I try to avoid Wal-Mart because of the way they treat their employees and the fact that they don't do ####### for medical benes for their employees.

it makes no sense that so many Wal-Mart employees have to have their families covered by state medical benes...

Though I don't care for the crowds at Walmart... I feel they have a better selection than Target.

If you had asked K-Mart... then I would have put down K-mart, because less crowded! :D
