Hey! My fiance is the US citizen and the k1 visa petitioner, but since we both work out side of the us and not earning alot of money, I have been told that we need to use her mom (which live and work in the us) as my finance sponser. How do we do that and at which step of the process?

How can I verify that her mom earns enough to sponser me financially?

Co sponsorship is a tricky area. Each Embassy is different and most do not except a co-sponsor. Since I have no idea (completing your profile and also your time-line would help with better answers) what country you are processing through I can only generalize. Those Embassy's that do except or will consider a sponsor for k-1 normally require an immediate relative of the petitioner who also must be a US citizen or a Green Card holder.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
