NVC Notification

Hello....

Today, 06 August 2016, I received via USPS hardcopy notification (dated 26 July 2016) from NVC that our approved case had been received by NVC from USCIS and was being transferred to the Embassy in Bangkok. The notification said...please note that the transfer to the Embassy may take several weeks. NVC had told me via phone that the case was transferred on 25 July 2016, so it has been IN TRANSIT for 12 days so far!

I have been tracking every day since the 25th of July...a shipment goes every day to the Embassy in Bangkok, so I'm not sure which packet may include our case. Do you have a recommendation? Thank you!

I searched the EXP 25 JUL 2016A and I put a day before a day after. Only that waybill showed up.

They would reference the day they tell you it went out.

But also ceac will tell you if it in in transit.

Have you checked there??

Some embassy's do not update as fast as others. Worst case call them Monday. They can tell you as well.

Someone has suggested the Embassy is behind in their data entry/logging of cases. I guess I can buy that. My fiance is still in the process of collecting his documents to submit for Packet 3, so it is okay that he hasn't been contacted by the Embassy so far. But this week he'll be ready to submit his Packet 3 documentation. So I hope we will hear from the Embassy soon!

My NVC transfer to Singapore took 13 days and normally takes a week or so....You are still good...CEAC will change to Ready when they have it...give it few days its weekend I think in Thailand!

Our case only showed "in transit" for one day before showing "ready". So I assume they send some kind of electronic case too because there's no way the actual package only took one day to reach Stockholm from the US. Maybe that's not the case for all embassies, who knows.
