Hi all, I know from trackitt and old vj posts that this does occur for some folks, but not very often. Today (8/6) marks the 60th day since USPS indicated that my RFE response was delivered to VSC (on morning of 6/8).

Mailman just came and nothing. Case status is still "On June 25, 2015, we received your Form CRI-89"

I am planning to call on the morning of next Monday the number listed on RFE. Main question is the "second tier"- this will be the first time I make a call due to "outside normal processing time", is it time to bring up that I insist to talk to a second tier officer? Is it effective because second tier officers are able to view from a higher level and get better idea where the case is at?

What is the wording or/and talking points like when I insist to talk to second tier? Apart from "would you please transfer to a second tier, blah blah".

I read there are two other alternative ways to track down the case. "Service request" via USCIS website, or infopass appointment. How effective are those? Is calling the first step? I probably don't want to overbombard with request. Anyways, this is just one delayed case, out of either backlog or human mistake.

Thank you!!

One you are connected to a rep, just request them to transfer you to a Tier 2 officer that you want to ask about your case since it's been 2 months you sent RFE. Even if they say they can create a service request, tell them you want to talk to the officer first. If they don't make the transfer, call again till you get a nice customer rep who transfers you to the Tier 2 officer. Don't worry, they don't get bombarded with your call as it's their job.

Before making a Service request or Info Pass appointment online, try talking to a tier 2 officer since they will have inside info of your case.

Thanks so much Arken! I read some other posts and we should be really firm and insistent.

Hopefully something will come out of the call!
