Wondering if anyone had the experience (or have knowledge) of a consular officer actually doing a interview to a child on a K-2 visa. Is it possible? If so, what kind of questions were asked? Or the minor is just present but is never interviewed?

No personal experience, but from years here on VJ, it depends a lot on how old the child is. A young child may only be asked the petitioner's name and if they like them/ are looking forward to moving to the USA. A tween/ teenager may be asked more about which school they will go to, how often they have met the petitioner and what they think of them etc.

Appreciate your response, it sure helps! I tried doing a search here but couldn't find any of those posts...by any chance do you have any of those links?

Yes I am also worried abt k2 interview. I have a child of 5 yrs. What if he couldnt able to answer right? CO thinks our relationship isnt bona fide. So much stressed out!!

A child that young will not be interviewed. As stated before, they could ask the child if they like your fiance or if he/she wants to move to the US. I would not sweat it; your child is too young. Edited by ECUK1

Wish you was right and everything goes well. Good luck to us.

Rainy7, the CO won't make a decision based on what a child says. There is a slim chance your 5 y/o will be interviewed. Make sure you bring plenty of evidence proving your relationship is genuine, ie., photos of you together with your fiance, your child, your family, friends, dog, etc., passport stamps, airplane boarding passes, hotel receipts, chat logs, emails, etc. Even if you front loaded the petition, bring plenty of evidence to the interview.

I was at my K2's interview in the Philippines and the CO asked if they liked me, what do you call him, and are you excited about going to the USA. There is no trick questions but the CO will listen intently to their answers for a sign that they don't have much of a relationship if their answers point the CO in that direction they will ask more questions from your fiancee to determine if this is a bonified relationship.
