Hello,

I am getting married next month ( Sep 2016) and i hold Green card (DV Lottery Visa - 2 years) and would want in to bring my spouse (husband) to USA from India. I am getting confused on the process. Can I get to know the complete procedure like

1) Eligibility Criteria for myself to apply for spouse

2) Procedure to apply for spouse

3) Documents required to apply

4) Wait time for bringing in the spouse

5) Any other best way to bring spouse as soon as possible

As far as the USCIS site, I understand we have to apply for I-131 Form and get an approval for preference date and wait on for the interview date accordingly the visa bulletin dates for F2A. But what will be my eligibility/required credibility to sponsor spouse?

Please help as soon as possible with my above questions.

Thank you

Tina

You are eligible, the guides would be the first start, have a read.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

To answer the timeline question, you are looking at about 2.5 years from filing to his interview.
