Ok, I'm just plain ole LOST! I filled out the DS-160 online for my father and now it says I need to make an online appt for him to go to the embassy. The link takes me to http://www.usembassy.gov/mena.html. I go here and choose Casablance. However, I do not see where to make an appt. I'm just going in circles. These are the directions I am following:

  • Print and keep the DS-160 barcode page. (You will not need to print the full application.)
  • You must schedule a visa interview appointment. (The U.S. Embassy or Consulate does not schedule an appointment for you.) Visit the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website where you will be interviewed for country-specific instructions.;
  • Pay the visa application processing fee. Review country-specific instructions on the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website.

I'm loosing my mind. Can anyone assist me on how in the hockey stick to make an appointment?

Thanks a bunch!!

I haven't paid for anything yet. I went through this website to file the ds-160...

Access the online DS-160 by clicking: Consular Electronic Application Center website.

Important Notice to Visa Applicants: After you have completed the DS-160, you must take these next steps below:

  • Print and keep the DS-160 barcode page. (You will not need to print the full application.)

I clicked on the highlighted "Consecular Electronic Application Center Website" to file the DS-160 which takes you to https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx US Dept of State website to file the DS-160. Then I went to step 2, " You must schedule a visa interview appointment.".

My mind is exploding....

In that case use the following link specific for Morocco. You can pay and schedule appointment through this link.

http://www.ustraveld...v-visaapply.asp

Look into the US Embassy website of your country and look for applying non immigrant visa. It will lead you to the link above.

Can you skip a step and make the appointment before the fee is paid? Does anyone know?

In Morocco, you have to pay at the visa fee at the local bank before they give you the receipt number. And you need the receipt from the bank in order to schedule the interview.

Step by step procedures can be found at this link:

http://morocco.usembassy.gov/visas/nonimmigrant-visas/how-to-apply.html

Seriously important! Make sure the bank gives you the reference number that you can put into the website. It's a hassle if they don't provide you with it and you need to enter it in the CEAC website in order to schedule the appointment. Also, the receipt must be kept and taken to the interview.

Examples of what the payment slip look like can be found at this link:

Good luck!
