This would be a golden opportunity for entrepreneurs (including sharp black entrepreneurs who can seize the moment) to sell anti-Trump Hispanics specially made T-shirts that say, "Relax, Gringo -- I'm Legal!"

It would be even more fun to sell shirts that say that... in Spanish.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.

When life hands you tampons, make tamponade (or something like that).

Sad to see folks walking around feeling worried or persecuted or defeated when even one unique little idea might change the focus to fun, profitable stuff. An anti-Trump small-businessman who owned a T-shirt or ad-specialty company would not only have a blast and make some money, but would also probably hope for more Trumpkin antics, which would serve to sell even more "Relax, Gringo" T-shirts!

Sorry si man. I'm fresh out of jokes, just trying to hold it all together for November.

Why do I think that is? You tell me being you said it's not racism. So it just all comes down to willful ignorance then I guess that means Trump supporters aren't racist either. And no one is stupid. Good, we're finally starting to make some progress.

is this what passes for progress nowadays?

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.

Pockets? His rallies are comprised of them. When you hold up a sign that said no racism and you're kicked out for it, that's racism. When black people have been beaten up, punched in the face, for just being there, that's racism. When people of color are told to go back to their own countries(and they're born here), that's racism. When Trump's name has become a symbol of a racial slur towards people of Hispanic descent, that's racism.

And I can say that's a fact. Why? Because, as a black person who's lived here all of my life and seen how this country views us, there's no way he wouldn't have gone to jail. You've had cases where black people have stood their ground and been locked up for doing less damage than GZ ever did. Race isn't what I believe it is, it's how I experience it.

So are you telling me that no black man can kill a white person and get away with it? Because I've got someone to introduce you to:

oj-simpson-closeup.jpg

Anyways, I figured it was a safe bet for me to make the comment I made, and apparently I was right because you just admitted it, so why ask me why the first thing to pop in my mind is racism? I'm not the one who sees race in everything. I couldn't care less about race, actually. If you're a good person you're a good person and that's all that's ever mattered to me. You just annoy me when all you see is race in everything, but I've got nothing personal against you nor do I hate you for the color of your skin. In fact, I'm pretty sure if we were ever out for a beer or two I could pretty easily have a discussion with you about anything but race. I'm actually fairly easy to get along with and as I've said in the past I have friends from all walks of life and all political and religious affiliations. As long as people respect one another there's no problem with different views.

Already expected that, Val. Also expect/ing the fact he could afford a good team. Not the point. Apparently, it's not only skin color that matters,

I guess you can use OJ since it's not like he was rich, famous at the time, the LAPD had issues with mistreatment of evidence, not to mention racial bias. As Chris Rock said, if OJ was a bus driver, he would have been Orenthal the bus driving murderer.

But I have to say, I'm a tad bit perplexed at your response. Since my "vacation" there have been over 40 threads started about race. And let's be clear, there are members here that ALWAYS post about race. Every. Single. Day. And yet, no one says anything about it, especially the ones(like yourself) that say they're tired of hearing/talking about it. It's odd to say the least that this only becomes an issue when myself of Janelle post in the thread. It's why she's no longer here, it's so obvious that people only seem to get perturbed when we talk about race. I see threads about BLM, and it's 20 pages long with folks who hate talking about race. But if I or my wife post the same thing, it's we're race baiting.

So maybe you can explain it to me. Because you and a few others have this sentiment, but I've never seen you all ever say anything to those who make race charged baiting posts daily. Even the reparations thread is solely about race. But in the reverse, when we post about just white people, that gets no love either.

So tell me, what are we allowed to post that gets approval, because at this point, I'm not sure anymore what we can talk about when the white members here can talk about black people all day long, but we don't have the privilege to do this, and we're black.

I couldn't tell ya because when was the last time you saw me open a race based thread? Besides, when other people post something race related that's not the same as trying to make everything about race, calling everyone racist, etc. That's where the issue comes in. It is also about the method that you guys(and groups like blm) try to use and believe that it would bring about positive change. I have told you my opinion on this on a couple different occasions: I believe the best way to change people's prejudicial bias is from the bottom up, not from the top down. That's just my opinion but you're free to do it however you want to.

I'm not talking about you starting a thread. I'm talking about the threads that are race related. And how aren't the two intertwined? So, it's okay to make comments like black thugs, super predators, living in the hood, or other negative connotations here about black people, but combating that stereotype with personal experience is a problem? Because I've never seen you or anyone on that side that says it annoys them call theses things out.

And sorry, but it's not the job of the oppressed to change their oppressor's minds. That's like saying the Jewish should have found a way to stop the Holocaust on their own by being more understanding.

But you are trying to change it, that's my point. You said so yourself, and you questioned why I don't think it should be shoved down people's throat. I never said anything about being more understanding. In the past when you and Jenelle and I had this discussion, I said I believe the best way is to be you. To give people a positive reason to change their perceptions about you and see you for you and completely forget about the color of your skin(or your religion in the case of Jews for instance). That doesn't require you to actively do anything in an attempt to change your opressor's mind, to the contrary. All you need to do is be on your best which you need to do anyway. If you change it through the individuals I believe it is much more effective.
