Make sure that you have translations of all official documents, including marriage and birth certificates. The marriage and birth certificates must be official with the stamp/seal on the back of each. Available in Santo Domingo.

The photos are excellent. This will help you during interview as will text or Whatsapp transcripts. Receipts for travel, including airline, hotel, groceries, etc. can also help. Bring all with you to interview. Make sure you are well organized. Put stuff in folders.

Very important is to follow directions and instructions. If you have any questions, call the NVC (where your case will be assigned)and reach out to the great folks here on Visa Journey. I'm always happy to help you. I've been through one immigration case with my wife, and now again with her son. Well probably be getting updates about the same time.

Please use mosquito repellent. Carry with you everywhere you go. Reapply often. Cover your ankles. Wear long pants and socks. Sleep with netting over you. My wife and I just returned from the island. We are trying to conceive now, and my test was negative (thank goodness). Make sure you are tested when you return. If you are careful, all will be well.

Yes we have his birth certificate and out marriage certificate both certified in English and Spanish and many copies of both lol. I thought there was only one nvc in dr?? Did you also dcf for your wife ?? A lot of it gets confusing for me the whole process and yes visa journey is very helpful for me but I have encountered some not very nice people on here but also a lot of helpful

The zika has been a concern for me that's the reason I was hoping the embassy would try to work fast with the application but who really knows I really don't leave the house that much anyways plus the heat gets to me a lot to the point I feel physically sick. I hope you are able to get your son to USA very fast I know that must be extremely hard for you and your wife to go through but nothing with the immigration process is easy or fast

I love my husband ?‍?‍?

I think your application will be sent to the US for processing. I may be wrong, but if you have been told otherwise then you may be working directly with the embassy in SD. This would be something to check with USCIS. I'm not sure how it may work if the application is sent to the embassy. Did you send the application to the US Embassy in SD or USCIS in US?

Drink a lot of cold water!

I was at the uscis in the embassy in sd. The guy told me it takes 30 days for them to process the application there and then they send it to nvc also in the embassy

Hopefully it's all true

I'm always drinking water or my husband makes me juice but my favorite is the alvacodos

Okay then. It would seem that your case will move along quickly. You'll receive a notification from the embassy most likely with a case number.

Keep that repellent on you AND your husband. Can't be foolin' around if he's not protected as well.
