Apologies if this has been asked many times--

Just looking for some guidance on what my wife needs to ensure a hassle free trip back home.

We are planning on traveling to a few countries later this year with the Philippines being our final stop. Her passport as well as our tickets are in her maiden name. Her green card has her married name on it.

I've read we should bring her birth and our marriage certificate to present to the immigration officer when departing Manila. Is that sufficient? I've also read there is an 'amendment' we can get from a Philippine embassy that they include/affix to her passport indicating we are married and therefor the reason for the name difference on her passport and green card.

Thanks for the help.

All you need is her greencard, marriage certificate, birth certificate and passport. The name to use for tickets is the name in her passport.

Be sure she is authorized to travel to a country without a visa. Check here https://mexico.visahq.com/requirements/Philippines/resident-United_States/. Follow the prompts.

Have a fun trip and be safe.

Thank you so much for the reply.

Like you said, the plane tickets match her name in her passport so we should be all good.

Just want to confirm--do the birth and marriage certificates need to be originals?

No. If you have originals great use them but otherwise no. You should have originals of your BC as you never know when they will be asked.
