I am US citizen and the father of 3 months old girl who was born overseas.

Because of my work here in the US, I will mail to my wife who is overseas DS-11, DS-2029 and DS-3053 so she can report CRBA at the embassy overseas

my question is:

Do I have to send the originals (naturalization Certificate and my Florida Driver License, my US passport) by mail?

I am just worried the mail gets lost with these originals, especially the mail service there is not reliable and secured

Can I send certified copies ?

It depends on the U.S embassy/consulate. In most case, both parents must come in person with the child. I don't think CRBA process is easy as sending all the papers to the officer. Sometimes, they need to verify your information and interview you if they feel it is necessary.

You've posted this and your other post in the Passport Subforum.

You might get better answers if you post in the CBRA Subform.
