I had an interview with the Dallas Field Office on June 29. I was chosen at random. When the file was in CSC, I would do a service request and it would end in VSC. When the file was in Dallas I would do service requests, they would end in DAL. Now a month after the interview, the confirmation number ends in VSC. What happened. Did the file get transferred again to VSC after the interview? Could this be for adjudication purposes or post decision?

Sorry i didnt understand. How do you know your file was in CSC and VSC? Can you please confirm if your case status reciept number changed?

I got mine starting with EAC when i was in NY but i have moved to Texas. Will my case status receipt number change to WAC?

I have made an infopass this month at the Dallas USCIS field office and confirmation number starts with DAL.Does it mean that my file is already transferred from Vermont?

Hi Avia..yes. I confirmed that my file was transferred to CSC for post decision activity thats why the last alphabets changed. If yours end in DAL then your file is already in Dallas. Seems like an interview. When did you file?

What I have seen is that the approval letter comes from CSC or VSC but at the bottom left, they show the address of the local office. But if you check the person noted to the bottom right, it is a service director. Also, on the envelope, the zip code is Vermont or CA.

I am guessing Service center can approve it or forward it to field office for interview or backlog. Then field office can approve, or decide to interview.

Yup this is exactly right. Even the address on the envelope was from the local office. I suspect CSC does this more than VSC which may be how they make the efort to stay closer to their processing timeline than VSC does.

Avia..sorry I did not notice you are referencing an infopass notice that begins in DAL. That is different from a service request. That just means the local office where you will have the infopass. If the service request ends in DAL it is in Dallas. If it ends in CSC, it is still in CSC
