I'll be sure and tell all the black lawyers, doctors, airline pilots, physicists, military generals, and presidents I see from now on that they shouldn't be where they are, due to discrimination.

Or maybe those didn't care about discrimination and fought to get ahead anyway, instead of whining about how unfair it is being black on Internet forums? This is AMERICA. Where people have been coming, for years, from all over the world, to work to get ahead, rise above persecution, and better themselves. Not saying discrimination doesn't exist, but I am saying it can be overcome.

all this talk of whining and every time i'm like, oh the friggin irony. good stuff. you whine about what you perceive as whining way more than any actual whining occurs. i sometimes wonder if you think the word "whining" actually means "voicing one's experience or opinion"

You need to look up the meaning of the word "some."

It must be a hard life always obsessed about skin color , instead of seeing people as people. I have never seen a more race obsessed person. especially from someone who has lived a pretty good life from in this horribly race country, lead by a black man

Funny thing about that black doctor comment...

http://www.npr.org/2013/05/01/178442772/for-a-black-doctor-building-trust-by-slowing-down

And your comment here is the root of the problem. Why do we have to overcome something when you could just get rid of it? Personally, I'm sick and tired of being told that we have to change our entire race and act like saints, while racism and discrimination is allowed to persist. It's like telling someone yes the game is rigged but you should play anyway since you MIGHT win if you keep spending your money and MIGHT get lucky.

For the record, everyone cares about discrimination. It's not something you take lightly. Just the ones that do make it, as the doctor above mentioned, have to do things their white counterparts don't have to, and that's wrong. It's interesting that we have to overcome it, but to suggest that you change it, is out of the question.

FTR, I'm out of plus ones already(don't know how, I think racism) so just know I liked your comment.

And yes, that's exactly what it means(I kind of miss being a Muslim, fun times) because that's the only time folks are "sick" of the "whining". When you keep posting threads about BLM, or other "race related" things, you're talking about race, plain and simple.

Ok, now I can plus one. Maybe this race whining thing has it's advantages. About to tell my boss I demand an immediate pay scale increase to GS-13, or else I'll cry racism...

What you don't seem to get, is that racism exists, EVERYWHERE. In EVERY COUNTRY. Not just where YOU have lived. I know only two (actual, not the ones who falsely claim the status) African Americans. One has been here for 23 years, the other for 10 years. And both tell me that living in Africa, they were subject to racism on a regular basis. One tells me he brought his family to America because he feared for his wife and children's lives.

Oh, and they are both white.

I'm not saying there is no inequality. I am not saying you never had it tough. But you're not the only one who had it so. What one chooses to do about it says more about their strength and goals in life than anything. Oh, and not just blacks are held back, or born poor. Try coming from a foreign country and making things work. There are more ways to be an outsider than just the color of your skin. If I were to go to Africa, or somewhere else where the predominant population was black, I know I would be the underdog. I would suffer. But why put myself in that position? Why not make the best of what I have here?

Racism was invented by and only exists in the US.
