Well finaly I was approved for my AOS. I had to wait in the waiting room 2 hours, but it was worth it. The officer simply read through my file marking everything with red pen. He didnt want any proof of our relationship. He asked for my court documents from my convictions it Australia.

We forgot to submit an I865 for my wife due to her no working. (we had sent in a co sponsor application). Luckly for us all the officer said was here is a pen and here is a blank I865, start filling it out. How lucky were we!!!!!!!!!

Straight after that he said your all set. I asked him about the FBI name check and he said your all good to go. I was extatic.

Even better...... He stamped my passport with a temp I551. I didnt even have to ask for it. Anyway I will check in from time to time to give my 2 cents worth. Im done for 2 years. :thumbs:

That sounds like you had a good interview, congratulations!! I'm glad it went well and you got the stamp!

Isn't it funny how some people get RFE'd then DENIED aos because of a lack of I-485 for the spouse and some people dont get an RFE even and handed the form at the interview.

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Feb 25, 26 & 28 - got emails saying that the cases had been transferred to another office, then to my local office, and then just transferred and are being processed

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

your very lucky you didnt get denied or at the VERY least an RFE for that. Others have not fared as well.
