Hello,

Haven't been able to find a thread for August I-129F Filers so I thought I would start one.

We sent our application today to the Dallas Lockbox from the United Kingdom.

Hopefully this goes fast.

August 3rd: I-129F Petition sent from the United Kingdom to the Dallas Lockbox.

August 16th: NOA1 Text and Email. Case sent to CSC

September 27th: NOA2 on USCIS Website and App

xx/xx/xx: NOA2 Text and Email

xx/xx/xx: NVC Received I-129F

xx/xx/xx: Case Number Received

xx/xx/xx: Embassy Received. Case status set as "Ready"

xx/xx/xx: Medical

xx/xx/xx: Interview

xx/xx/xx: POE at airport

-If you filled out form G-1145 to receive text and email messages from USCIS, then most likely you will be notified when received.

-If they receive your petition, you will be sent hard copy of NOA1 within ten days. If in 30 days you do not receive one, call USCIS and request a copy.

-After NOA1, then the waiting game for your NOA2 approval if all goes well and no RFE. No one knows exactly how long it takes to have a petition approved, You are looking at three up to six months...but it could be less than that as well...Just keep your fingers crossed.

Late to the game of joining this but here is where we are at...

Sent around August 5th

NOA1 - August 16th

RFE- September 27th

Sent requested info on October 3rd.

For me all the asked for was a different passport photo as it was "too small even though i followed what they said to do (I'm the Petitioner). We are hoping to get confirmation of them receiving it soon and hopefully a few days after that get or NOA2. It seems like a lot of August filers have already got theirs so fingers crossed!!!

Congrats to all those who got their NOA2 hope the rest of the process is speedy for you!!!

Hi everyone,

I am also an August filer. I feel like this batch of us is moving through super fast. I had my NOA2 approved in 27 months.

August 21, 2016: Case was sent to Dallas Lock box.

September 09, 2016: NOA1 confirmation letter, forwarded to CSC

October 03, 2016: NOA 2 approval, checked via USCIS website *wow that was fast! * forwarded to NVC

( According to DHL website tracking my case will be received by the consulate on November 7th,2016)

November 7th, 2016- Interview (APPROVED)

November 22nd, 2016- POE: Salt Lake City. WE ARE FINALLY TOGETHER.

How long did you wait until you contacted NVC for your case number?

July 7th, 2016 – Engaged

September 1st, 2016- I-129F Sent to Lockbox Facility in Lewisville

September 6th, 2016- NOA1

- No RFE’s -

October 3rd, 2016- NOA 2 (Via USCIS application)

- Hardcopy came a week and a half after –

October 27th, 2016- NVC received case (after many weeks of calling)

October 28, 2016- Case was assigned a number

Have you called NVC for your case? Have they received it?

I tried calling today but couldnt get through. Will try tomorrow again. Of course ill update and post when i get a case number as its an awesome way for everyone to try and get a bit more understanding on when they might get theirs. :D

Hello guys, I'm worried, we send the package on August 19, we received the noa1 on August 24. On September 13 our status changed to:


Document Was Returned To USCIS

On September 12, 2016, the Post Office returned your document to us. We will hold your document for 180 days or until March 11, 2017. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request That We resend the document to you. If you submit an online request not by March 11, 2017, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance (E), with fee. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.



We solve the address problem and received the noa1 letter after but the status has not changed and we didn't received the noa2 or rfe yet.. I'm worried because I see that a lot of couple sent it in August too and already was aproved, is someone else going through this?


Ps: We already them and they said that the status only changes when we get approved.
