I applied for AOS through marriage, I-130, I-131, I-485, I-864, I-693

My time line is as follows;

DAY 0: April 18th: Married
DAY 0: June 15th: Mailed package to Chicago lockbox
DAY 0: June 17th: Mailed I-130, I-131, I-765, I-864, I-485
DAY1: June 20th: Case received
DAY 4: June 24th: Finger print fee for I-485 received
DAY 9: June 29th: Text messages and email received
DAY 25: July 15th: Biometrics appointment letter received
DAY 32: July 22nd: Biometrics scheduled
DAY 44: August 3rd: RFR on I-485

I received text message for RFE on 485, I am very worried about what they could request. We submitted as much as possible documentations. Would this mean something is missing from 485, 864 and the medical 693?

Anybody else had RFE on 485? What have your experiences been? Would be helpful to know while I wait for the letter.

Also how does this affect the processing of travel permit and EAD?

Honestly, nobody can tell you until you receive the RFE letter. Often it has to do with I-864, but that does not mean that it will be so in your case.

I am a United States citizen!

Posted

Okay, so I finally got my RFE letter after almost waiting anxiously for a week.

RFE says I must submit evidence for lawful admission or parole into the United States. Such evidence includes, but is not limited to Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Record, Form I-512 with completed arrival stamp, or a copy of the nonimmigrant visa page of your passport showing admission to the United States.

I am preparing the response and thinking I should include this:

1) over letter

2) I-94 photocopy (front and back)

3) Copy of nonimmigrant visa with arrival stamp page

4) Original RFE letter

Do you think I need to send anything else? or is it best to send only what they request?

Thanks for your help or feedback!
