I think he could, if they started back last year, but this constant coddling and rewarding him for his bad behavior is what's killing him. Anytime you know for a fact the rules don't apply to you, this is what the result will be.

If he toned it down last year, he may not have won the nomination. It was his loud mouth raucous ways that got him nominated by the Republican base, but now he has to play to the entire nation in order to win.

He didn't really. What you're seeing is the election version of a temper tantrum. Trump isn't to blame for this. The folks who allowed him to get this far are.

Had the GOP stood up and denounced his rhetoric and actions, they would have lost voters, but it was the group they didn't need. They could have shown everyone that the party of principles and morals was just that. And put forth someone who could actually go toe to toe with Hillary. But that's the problem when you have a minority person running for office. They always underestimate them and put forth folks who aren't ready, then cry when they lose.

I agree but everybody knew who Trump was at the beginning of the republican race, they thought he was a breath of fresh air that would bring in more and new voters to the party because of his popularity and as it turned out, he was just a smelly narcissistic fart that cleared out the room!

Initially yes, but the reason he thrived was he attracted the wrong kind of attention, that's why at the beginning they tried to stop him. I surmise if Sanders or any other candidate that was male(read white male) clinched the nomination, no way Trump would have made it this far. He wouldn't have even run since he couldn't measure up to any decent politician on the GOP side.

I agree. He kept saying once he wins, and it's just him and Clinton, he will be presidential. Sooooo presidential. Most presidential candidate ever. Believe me. Well I didn't believe him and didn't hold out much hope for it but was kind of curious to wait and see what happens and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Ummmm...yeah. Not seeing anything presidential these days, for sure.
