Biometric appointment done, now what?

Good Evening Everyone,

We went to the Tampa USCIS office today and did the biometric appointment. A big round of applause to the staff there. My appointment was at 11:00 a.m. but I showed up at 10:05 a.m. (nervous...) they told me to come back after 10:30 a.m.

At 10:25 a.m. they called "Anyone with a 11 a.m. appointment?" so me and others went in. I checked in showing the invitation letter and the green card as ID, thet game a sheet to complete with personal information that took approximately 5 minutes, I brought the completed sheet back and they gave me a number. There were 7 numbers in front of me and I had to wait no more than 15 minutes. When they called me they collected my finger prints, took a picture and gave me the completed form with a stamp on it to keep for future steps.

Everything went really smoothly and everybody was kind, welcoming and professional. A real great experience that made my wife and I enjoy the day even more.

For those of you who need to go, just have your invitation letter ready and a valid form of ID (I brought with me driving license, green card, passport).

For those of you who have been through the process and are now at further steps, how long do we need to wait for the next steps? Is there anything we can do to prepare for those?

Nope, it's a long waiting game for you now, you will either get an RFE or an approval letter for your 10 year green card, but you have a long wait. We sent ours in March, early, did the biometrics late March. 5 months now and no word, so for you patience is the game good luck
