Did you show the Extention letter to employer?

I'll be filing for ROC here in a few months, I just wondered how many people actually presented the extension letter to their employer, and how many people didn't bother? Obviously I thought the employer would instantly realize you have an expired card but then again I started reading about people on here saying they didn't even ask for anything as obviously there is no actual gap in employment eligibility

i did and they made a copy of it, they may check your status when they run your W4 to do your annual taxes.

I didn't provide it initially. It took them a few months to realize that my previous document had expired (they should have realized it immediately due to the system we have). Anyway, they asked for proof of current status. I provided the extension letter and they copied it.

No, I never presented my green card to my employer. I-9 can be filled by using other documents and only giving your A#.

I used 1 from List B (Driver's Licence) and 1 from List C (SSN Card).

I started working with EAD, once that expired I had my green card. They didn't even want to see that. I asked twice whether or not I should fill in a new I9 since my status had changed and on both occasions they told me no. They just asked me something along the lines "so you do have it?" But didn't want to see it.

Mine approched me a couple of months ago, right around the window to apply for RoC was getting closer. I was request to show a copy of my 1 year extensio. I received a second email last month reminding me about the document. I responded that I haven't filed my petition yet and I was still in perfect timing to submit, that as soon as I receive my extension I will make sure to send it out.
