Just says Case has been received for the EAD and approved for the AP. Unfortunately I think the lady saw the AP approval and maybe combined them and used the same approval and expiration date.

The lady at the InfoPASS that is

Keep an eye on the EAD, usually they are worked on together and some people see the approval status a couple days apart. It also could be that both were approved but the system didn't update for both. You should get letters in the mail in a few days, I hope you get approval letters for both!

It would be really nice if we had a breakdown of USCIS processing steps.

"First, petitions are sent to accounts receivable to assess fees and payments."

"Forms are sent to review signatures and that all boxes are filled in."

"Forms are sent to review supporting evidence."

"Petition is linked to biometrics."

Etc.

Even if they didn't update us on each step, some idea of what they do, what order, and whether it is changing hands would be nice.

Makes me so mad reading your post knowing that someone DID NOT LINK MY BIOMETRICS TO THE PETITION and everything is on hold now because of that.

It would be nice to know if/which "approval" comes from a local (interview) office or if it comes from the Missouri Service Center. Because I see adjacent case numbers being approved, but ours hasn't seen any action. It would also be nice to know if the biometrics has been linked to the application.

Because i know biometrics is not needed for AP anf EAD but its needed for the GC and Im not sure if you already done a biometrics before that they might use. You did not ask them if you still need to do biometrics or will they still send you an appointment?

Thats not 100% true. I applied for my combo card a month after filing my AOS. I was required to go back to the local INS office for another set of fingerprints. This was for the employment authorization document.

OK. I wish you good luck. I was tempted to call them when my application have spent 72 days but at the morning of 74th day, I got approval for EAD and AP and interview date for AOS.

If you don't hear from them on your 75th day, calm them on 76th day.

Yes I will do that. I'm getting close to 70 days now I think.

Keeping fingers crossed and waiting......

Congratz! i keep checking the uscis website but my 131 and 765 still dont show as terminated. I wonder how long before they get mailed to us.

Okay so buckle up for this story...similar to what jalem33 posted a few days back.

I checked the status on Thursday (10/20) and it said "case was received" for EAD and AP. But on Monday afternoon (10/24) when my father in law checked it said the following....which we couldn't believe- as it was approved on day 58 from NOA date - and that in Newark, NJ which shows about 200+ days on VJ timelines. So I called USCIS this morning at 8am when they opened and they said the GC was approved! And we should be receiving a letter saying that soon and production of Green Card should be ordered and sent out to us.

485 (Green Card):

On October 21, 2016, we approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address

765 (Employment)

On October 24, 2016, we terminated your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means. We will send you a termination notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

131 (Travel):

On October 24, 2016, we terminated your Form I-131, Application For USCIS Travel Document, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means. We will send you a termination notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

BTW, don't look at my timeline on here because that is all from my wife's K1, AOS, ROC, USC journey, below it is for my in-laws.

AOS/EAD/AP:

Sent to Chicago Lockbox: 2016 8-12

Mom/Dad: Biometrics Appt: 9-22 (received 9-10)

Interview Appt: never happened!!!

YAY! so finally my status for my EAD card changed today to "Card was mailed to me" after showing for three weeks that the card is in production.

Keep an eye on the EAD, usually they are worked on together and some people see the approval status a couple days apart. It also could be that both were approved but the system didn't update for both. You should get letters in the mail in a few days, I hope you get approval letters for both!

I only got an approval letter for my AD card but not for my EAD.

Finally, status updated to "Card being produced". Wonder how long it's gonna take to actually receive the EAD...

Just looked through the statuses and history for a bunch of EAD and AP cases online. It isn't at all consistent as far as each "status update" and in what order.

Received>Name Update>Approved

Received>New Card Being Produced>Approved

Received>Approved>New Card

Received>New Card

I'm assuming that each case worker is meant to do the updates as they work on the case, and they're not all on the same page :/ I didn't see any that said "card has been mailed," but maybe those are from earlier dates.
