Ok, so I just checked my hubbies status on the USCIS website and I didn't see anything under the employment or ap applications, but I did see this: On October 21, 2016, we approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status., Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxx We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

This seems too good to be true...Is it possible he is already getting his green card after less than two months?

Yes. As far as I know some K1 visas can be exempted for interview.

March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.

Most K-1 visas are waived because they already had an interview at the K-1

I've read that most K-1 visa applicants applying for green card don't need an interview. We have to submit all of our proof with the K-1 visa application and do an interview for that.

So I did a SR Today and I got a response that I did not show up for my biometrics and they will reschedule!!! OMG I did a walk in on AUGUST 19!!! Are you kidding me??

This is what I got:

USCIS systems indicate that on 8/31/2016, USCIS requested that you appear at the Application Support Center (ASC) for biometrics processing associated with your case. It appears that you may have missed your appointment. Your application information has been re-entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local ASC. Biometrics appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the ASC. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local ASC. You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment.

I made an Infopass for today at 1:15 PM. I will bring with me the Biometrics appointment with the red stamp on it so they can see they already took my bio. Hopefully everything will be okay.

Before I did my walk in last week, the tier 2 on phone told me this situation (yours) might happen if you do a walk in instead of showing up at your scheduled time. But my bio was so late so I still did a early walk in last week. When I was in the office, I checked with the officer who did my bio and he said this won't happen. But anyways, USCIS is really confusing. Hopefully you will figure this out at your infopass and please keep us updated! Good luck!

Guys,

I just got home from the InfoPass. So what the Immigration Officer saw in the system is that my fee was received but the fingerprints were not process nor sent to processing. Somehow USCIS lost my Biometrics and there is nothing else they can do about it so they just rescheduled me for November 9, at 12 PM. (a day after Election day). I guess they can see in the system if I was rescheduled cause they printed out the Bio Letter for me. I will also receive the official Bio Letter in the mail in the next days from NBC.

All this time wasted, now I have to wait even more. I am just lost for words. So upset, you can't even imagine. The officer told me after they will take my bio again I will have to wait for USCIS to process them and then wait to hear from them about my AOS/EAD.

The only positive thing is they did not consider my application abandoned or anything and it's still pending.

Not mine. I will need an additional interview for my I-485 applications. It would make sense to exempt all K-1 category visas.
