I didn't think so that is why I called again and am waiting a call back from an IO. There's no consistency with the customer service 1 people. Yesterday I was told I need an interview for my EAD which was set after I had my biometrics taken.

Did other people have there Bios taken in their country of origin or in the U.S. at the border? Mine was done at the Border after they went through my 129F, that was the last step then I was good to go.

Hi,

They took my fingerprints both at the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest when the interview took place and I was fingerprinted by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection at point of entry, which was Detroit (DTW) and I still got my biometrics letter so I complied and went to have them fingerprint me again.

I would say you were misinformed by the Customer Service Agent. (Ironic, right?)

Just got off the phone with an IO (Tier 2)... if you get an RFE for any of your applications you submitted through AOS (including 485/131/765) everything is put on hold until they get the RFE. So if you got an RFE don't wait to send anything in.

I called and have a SR in about my biometrics and here's what I took from the conversation. Any comments are welcome:

1) To hear anything back about my SR will take up to 15 days

2) After that I will get another letter about 7 days after with a biometrics appointment

3) That appointment will typically be no later than 3 weeks later

4) Once I have my biometrics, my EAD card will be produced and sent out (roughly a week or so)

I have an InfoPASS appointment scheduled for next week Tuesday, is there any point in going or should I cancel it. Will I just get the same info I just got from the IO over the phone?

I can read fine.

This is what he was asked for:

"This new notice was given to my stepdaughter, a K2 recipient. The paper says that

a completed and signed I-693 Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record was not submitted. Do we have to send one of those?? When my wife went through the

K1 visa process along with her daughter, the physical exam and all of the required vaccinations to enter the US were given at this time. This happened on Feb. 2nd of this year

in Lima, Peru. We used one of the panel physicians there who is authorized by the US Embassy to do this. The sheet, Vaccination Documentation Worksheet was given to them after their

physicals. It says "US vaccination requirements COMPLETE (requesting a Blanket Waiver)."

he send in the DS-3025 as he was supposed to and what is needed they ask for the I-693.

It it NOT the same. If he just send in the DS-3025 he will get in trouble with the RFE response.

So no it's not the same.

Look at this post also exactly the same problem.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/613487-rfe-they-lost-my-medical-replied-with-ds-3025-two-months-no-response/page-3#entry8348361

Yes, I did send in the DS-3025. But yet there is NO reference to sending in a I-693 Form, unless the medical has expired after one year, or the vaccination requirement was not met.

I still don't understand WHY I should have to do this again. The cost of a new physical exam will cost $280 per person. If only a signature is required, then it is $40. Seems to be waste of time and money if you ask me. Having a US approved physician in Lima wasn't good enough?? We just had TWO physicals within the span of one year.

I guess that I will complete the Form for both my wife and stepdaughter....and then WAIT some more!

You shouldn't have too. It happens that they don't know the process of the medical from K-1 and it irritates me a lot! The other thing that could have happened is that they haven't connected your medical package the one you gave at POE.

Welcome to the team. You have the same timeline as mine.

Don't worry, no one with NOA 1 on Aug 17 has received biometric yet. What you will need to do is to call USCIS customer service and make a request/inquiry about receiving any biometric appointment.

Thank you.

I've called several times but they just said to wait for 15-30days for the response. I also called for my I-765, same response.

I am with San Francisco CA Office, and my priority date is 19th of August, and I already went to my biometric appointment on 21st of Sept as scheduled... Hope this will help.

However, I haven't yet heard anything after doing my biometrics...... Hopefully will be getting my EAD & AP soon in the next 2 weeks...... And also hope to get an interview soon.

Does anyone know if San Francisco is really so busy that it takes about a year to get an interview!???? I am gonna lose my sanity if so......

Just got off the phone with an IO (Tier 2)... if you get an RFE for any of your applications you submitted through AOS (including 485/131/765) everything is put on hold until they get the RFE. So if you got an RFE don't wait to send anything in.

Same here. Please let me know via private message or quote me when you got an update for your EAD/AP.

Yes, that's what I thought also. I asked for a call back from a Tier 2 officer. They should get in touch with me during the next couple of days. I

will ask them to please explain IN DETAIL, why I need to submit this form. You would think an agency such as USCIS would be familiar with all

of their procedures, no?

There is nothing on the AOS checklist referencing the Form I-693...unless medical wasn't completed. So that is why I didn't submit one in the first place. You are correct, the medical info they need should have been collected at my POE in Miami when we arrived and passed through immigration down there.

This happens a lot, some say you have a 50/50 chance of getting an RFE for medical even with Complete on your DS-3025. If you want a quick approval, it's best to just "give them what they want" as someone else said. I don't think talking to Tier 2 about it will get you far, unfortunately.

I will do that. The only thing that bugs me is that I have to wait to find out if my case will get an interview, and if so.....bring the updated Form to the interview.

If my case does NOT require an interview....then I have to wait for a decision by mail and then submit the Form and send it in. But who knows how long that will

take? If my stepdaughter got such a request, then my wife will probably get one as well...to be determined. The lady from USCIS told me that it may not happen,

but no guarantees. I'm not supposed to mail anything in at this time either, since it could result in further delays to my case. So I just have to sit tight.

Meanwhile, more wasted time goes by.......and more money out of pocket for me as well. Getting tired of this!

Hey guys! For all of you who get RFE for medical, I read on an immigration website that since August, they ask for gonorrhea test, so because your medical might have been done before that, could that be the reason for the RFE? I had my medical done early August, and the civil surgeon almost missed the new notice for the tests....

Not sure if that helps
