Just got off the phone with an immigration officer. She said i should have the Biometrics within the 10-15days.

Wish i had insisted on speaking to immigration officer all along.

Please insist on speaking to an immigration person. That helps. I waited for at least 3+hrs.

Hi all, I have been reading pretty much this whole post, I am from Chicago and filed my AOS package in Chicago.

It sucks to see that people before and after me (and others with similar dates) have received there biometrics appointment and completed it before I have even gotten a notice for an appointment (my receipt date for my AOS package was August 15th which I only got one NOA receipt which was for my AP, nothing else). I tried calling the Tier 2 officer today and was placed on a 5 hour call back list. Likely I won't be getting called back today so I will call again tomorrow. It has been 62 days since I got my AP receipt notice and haven't heard a single thing for my EAD or AOS. I did get an RFE (that I found out through calling and speaking to a Tier 2 last month) and submitted the proper documents and they received that on September 28.

Having read that a few people got there EAD (and AP) without having a biometrics done raises hope a bit, but not much. I often wonder if I didn't receive a biometrics appointment because I already went through fingerprinting with my work visa back in 2013/2014?

I have a job lined up with a letter of employment offer, I am going to submit that with a USPS expedite service to the lockbox (is that where I send it?).

When I look at my USCIS case status my EAD and AP say "Case Was Received on..." and my AOS said "RFE was received and submitted..."

Does anyone have any input? I know patience is key, but

You can expect the EAD within 90 days from the "received date" on your notice of acceptance. The received date is usually the day after your package is delivered to them.

So for you, if they received your case on August 15th, your EAD should be approved by something like Nov 12th or 13th.

Is this despite have a biometric appointment or not? I'm on day 62 with no biometric appointment! and I have a job and its being held until I get it so I'm hoping I don't get delayed much more than the 90 days! I have had my fingerprints taken for my work permit back in 2013 so maybe they're using those?

To those who still haven't received their biometrics appointment letter, are you adjusting from K1, J1, or Tourist visa?

Just wanted to know if it matters on where we're adjusting from...

Adjusting from K-1 to PR

Mine is 50 days since my noa received. Still waiting for bio letter.

62 days today I am waiting for bio letter

im on tourist visa. It doesnt really matter

I don't think the visa matters either.

mine is F-1 student visa

The only group of people that haven't received any biometric appointments are those with Notice Date of Aug 17th (based on what I see)

My notice date was August 15th... still nothing.

Call USCIS, request to speak to an immigration officer. Ask the first respondent to transfer you to an immigration officer, not a Tier 2 officer, they know more as regards to your case.

Cheer up!

I feel you with all the waiting. ? most of us here whose notice date is August 17 have not received biometrics appointment either. I am not sure if they're going to use your old bio, but i am in the impression that they will still do a new one.

Just got off the phone with an immigration officer. She said i should have the Biometrics within the 10-15days.

Does anyone have any input? I know patience is key, but

My Receipt date for I-485 is August 15th, too.

And I did not receive my fingerprint date until last week, and I am still waiting for the letter.

My EAD was approved without having biometrics done.

Here's what I did:

I knew if it were going to take more than 4week for a biometrics letter, there's a problem.

Waited for 1 month mark, and I called USCIS for SR.

For my first service request, I was told to wait 30 days to receive a response.

I didn't wait for 30 days, waited about 15 days and started calling again.

After twice of talking to tier 2 officer, I was assigned with a date for biometrics.

Also, during the call, I asked about my I-765 and its process.

I am guessing that they took a look at my case just because I called and bothered them.

So All I can suggest is to call as much as you can to make sure they are on your case.

I was connected with a Tier 2 today after I called this morning (10:30am) and was placed on the call back list... Finally got the call at 4:30pm, they were verifying and reviewing my case and the line went dead... I was using a landline too... not sure what happened and they're on a "stop-call" or whatever they call it and cannot transfer any calls and for me to try again in an hour and a half or two hours, or tomorrow morning.

While I am waiting, what questions have people asked that typically get them somewhere. Some say to be specific or they will just give you general answers?

Its been 62 days and no biometrics for those who haven't seen my previous post. Also, originally when I was on the line this morning with the first person who answered the phone, they said i needed to do an interview for the EAD? That doesn't seem right does it?

Here we go again.....I received a notice in the mail from USCIS asking for something else. This new notice was given to my stepdaughter, a K2 recipient. The paper says that

a completed and signed I-693 Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record was not submitted. Do we have to send one of those?? When my wife went through the

K1 visa process along with her daughter, the physical exam and all of the required vaccinations to enter the US were given at this time. This happened on Feb. 2nd of this year

in Lima, Peru. We used one of the panel physicians there who is authorized by the US Embassy to do this. The sheet, Vaccination Documentation Worksheet was given to them after their

physicals. It says "US vaccination requirements COMPLETE (requesting a Blanket Waiver).

So I'm confused. Upon getting to the US, we completed another physical last week for the both of them, in order to establish US medical records here. No new vaccinations were given, except Influenza. I don't understand. Why do we have to go through this again? This doctor has to sign off on the I-693 form, stating that vaccination requirements have been met. But again,

WHY? It seems like an unnecessary cost just to get a signature by a "civil surgeon." I know the medical exams are good for one year......

I called USCIS to ask more about this. The lady I spoke with was very nice, but she didn't have any real answers regarding this issue. I requested to speak to a Tier 2 person via a call back to get more answers. The "good part" of this is that the EAD and the AP forms are not effected by this. Only the AOS portion. I'm on Day 62 since I initially filed my package. Even though I received an RFIE, I resubmitted it in just 4 days time. They received my response to the RFIE on October 5th. The lady informed me that if I still haven't received anything within the next 2 weeks, then I can request a formal inquiry into my case, regarding the EAD. I got a reference number also.

Thoughts?
