So I have 3 inquiries in my I-485 ...

One of that got answered and it was sent to my email. In the heading, it is stating San Francisco local office address. The email goes on with all my information.

And at the end it said "Please allow 60 days from the date of this notice to receive your biometric appointment by mail".

However, USCIS customer service said 30 days from my first inquiry is Oct 26, so I'm expecting by Oct 26 to receive my biometric appointment and ignore that email.

So one of my friends had his green card interview a few days ago and he just told me that they where told at the end of the interview that they would need to wait at least 100!!! days before they could even try to find out if they would get their green card approved or not.

From all the other people i know who went through this process (a couple years ago) i heared that they where told right away if their green card is approved or not? Is this normal now that USCIS isnt telling you right away if its approved or not?

Doesn't sound right. From the older forum, they are told right away. Who knows what's happening at USCIS.

Maybe 100 days to actually get the card in the mail. Usual procedure (AFAIK) interview - interviewer approves/denies, gives it to his superior who signs off on it.

If you have imminent travel plans with proof, they will stamp your passport (if you passed)

Hey Guys,

I haven't been on here for awhile now.. so to update you all on my case I did receive rfe on sept 20 and I got hard copy on sep 27 (right after my bio app). It was related to my 485 for not meeting 125% poverty line and my foreign birth certificate. I submitted the response on oct 5 and they recieved it on oct 11. NBC updated my case as they recieved it but no update after that. Hope I get my EAD soon. Good luck to everyone else. My PD date is aug 18.

I suspect that the updates are done in batches.

When the case numbers near our K1 were getting approval/RFE frequently, I noticed that there was over a 48 hour period in which no updates were made on any of the cases. I sent an email to the webmaster of the USCIS site (via a web form) and 15 minutes later, there were a lot of approvals/RFE with approval dates of both "missing" action days. Ours had been approved in the first missing day.

Lets keep hoping for the best.

I finally got the chance to talk to a tier 2 today who happened to be a very nice person. He told me that my case is still at the NBC headquarters and it wont be transferred until im done with the biometrics and background check. So what he did was send a request in my behalf in the headquarters asking them when should be my finger print appointment. I think NBC will then send a request for appointment to my local office. I should expect a response on the 29th with the details of my biometrics. My case online shows me the confirmation number of the request that has been made that, was also given to me during the call. The officer told me i should have completed biometrics by now. Oh well, the waiting continues.

Thank you.

I've called several times but they just said to wait for 15-30days for the response. I also called for my I-765, same response.
