Still waiting for my EAD. Did biometrics last Sept. 23rd.

No updates or anything yet @ MyUSCIS. Just the initial "received" stuff for i-130, i485, & i765.

Feels like its taking forever for an update & is really frustrating.

My EAD will be on its 60th day this Oct. 23 from NOA.

Sorry to hear that, but we have to stay positive about this. We all know how unpredictable uscis can be, may just be a temporary backlog. You'll have your biometrics soon im sure...

This morning we received our scheduled interview! Does anyone know if the Green Card is decided at the interview and then produced/delivered following said interview?

Usually they give you an answer right then and there and your online status change not long after. When the status change to card produced, it should be around a week to get it by mail. But sometimes they can't reach a decision, or they may need an extra document or have a supervisor review.

Hi everyone! Will MyUSCIS indicate if you'll be receiving an RFE/RFIE? It's been 29 days since my biometrics and MyUSCIS still says "Case Was Received". Also if you get one, will they be sending back the whole packet or just a notice letter? Scared that my parents-in-law may have accidentally thrown out my letter if USCIS did send one. But I haven't received any text/email notification at all. That's why I'm asking if it will show on MyUSCIS.

Congratulations! When did you do your biometrics if I may ask?

Did my biometrics September 7 and still no update in MyUSCIS. You're still okay. Relax :goofy:

I received a RFE by mail a week after my online status got updated to 'Request for Initial Evidence was sent'.

So if it still says 'Case was received' that means no RFE on the way for you ;)

So my status changed today that my EAD card is getting produced and i always thought that they would do the EAD and AP card at the same time. Is it normal that they change the statuses separate?

So I finally got to talk to a tier 2 (suuper nice) and they put the address wrong so my bio appointment was sept. 26th ? They are sending it again and she said that I could try to go there next week but that they normally don't accept people who go later...

At least I'm relieved to know that it was the appointment and not at RFE...

Do you guys think they will accept me in san Francisco after two weeks?

Thank you, Joulie and Mrs. Baldwin! Now that made me a bit nervous haha. Did they send back the whole packet you sent or you just got a letter?

You will get just a letter saying whats missing/what they want and if you should send it to them (they show the address) or if you should bring it to the interview and in case you dont need an interview you have to send it to them once they tell you that you dont get an interview.

If you have to send it there you just send the RFE and the documents they want back to them and nothing else.

If you get a rfe, you will get a pink letter in the mail from uscis. It will simply tell you what they want. Also on the letter is the mailing address and whos attention it should be sent to.

My I-485 online status just updated to"Request For Initial Evidence" (Day 38), I guess it's my husband's tax return issue.

My husband never filed taxes since he worked in china for past 6 years and he just got his first job in USA this month, so he didn't submit tax return. but his dad is our joint sponsor who has sufficient income, so we only submit his dad's i-864 and tax return etc. so what my husband and I should to do if RIFE letter requires my husband's tax return? any advises? thanks for your help in advance.

Even if you have a joint sponsor, your husband is still the primary sponsor, and still needs to fill out an I-864 and provide either a tax return or an explanation of why he did not have to file a return. Living abroad doesn't exempt you from having to file taxes (though earning less than a minimum threshold does, varies by filing status).
