Yeah, I think so too. I heard the information you got from an infopass appointment is actually the same if you talk to a tier 2 officer. I will call them tomorrow.

It is the same information... some people just prefer to do info pass over calling purely cause they prefer the face to face interaction vs over the phone... not everyone is close enough to there local office to just go there without it turning into a whole day road trip... the people you are initially put threw to on the phone when you put threw to a real person they can only see what you can see so they can only give you basic information but that's why I always advise to push to be transferred to a tier 2 since tier 2 can see what's happening in the background they are able to tell you more information or even are able to tell you if your appointment has been scheduled they can even sometimes are able to tell you the reason for the delay

My 1st tier person was more concern about my case than the 2nd tier person. 2nd tier person, he just sounds so unprofessional

I've dealt with tier 2 perhaps 10times maybe more... on 1 occasion I've had a severely rude person the rest were super nice and very helpful... I also learned you need to be specific with your question and not generalize your question... example if you ask "what's happening with my case?" Chances are their 2 will give you a general answer of "it's within normal processing time, call back in 'x' amount of weeks" but if your specific like "where is my case at? Has it been transferred? If so where?" That's when they start and out you on hold and dig through your case to get more detailed answers to your specific questions but if you don't ask specific questions you don't get specific answer cause frankly most of them are too lazy to look threw your file unless prompted by you to do so... with the regaurds to your biometrics appointment I would ask them how backlogged is your local office for issuing appointments, have your local office recieved your information yet, has an appointment been yet and how soon do you think 1 may be scheduled based of the data they have... those are just example questions
