Yep nwolfe is right. You will be in and out of there so fast, just leave everything in the car. Yes your spouse can go with you, but he/she will wait in the waiting room while your getting fingerprinted.

Wondering if there's anyone from San Francisco, CA USCIS Office?

I would love to know approx. how long it would take to get the 2-year green card (for someone from San Francisco)?

Because from the USCIS website processing time checking and USCIS phone number, they all say that the SF, CA Office is super busy which is understandable, and they are still processing cases from October 2015 (one year ago.) Which is very long......

However, I am assuming and also from the blogs that I have read, a "marriage based green card application" should be an exception and faster than what the website says? My friend from North Carolina filed in May 2016 and received the green card in August, but the website says by August 2016 the NC Office is still processing cases from March 2016. That's why I am assuming and hoping very much that a marriage based application would be faster than all other applications?

I called in yesterday and they told me the same thing. Wait until Oct.4th....

What did you tell them?

When I called in, they said I have to wait full 30 days from the referral was made.

Ok, so I mailed off my RFE response to Homeland Security.....good to know they have signed for it. Interesting how the RFE said to send it to Homeland Security

and not USCIS. I assume the work together on immigration cases then. Hope to get this resolved at last!

I told them I already made an inquiry and had an referral number. But I haven't heard anything yet. They transferred me to a level 2 officer. Level 2 called me back later on and looked at my case, told me the target date for them to respond is Oct.4th. I said ok, if I don't hear anything I will call back on the 5th. I am pretty sure you probably will hear something this week too.

What do you mean that you "hear back"?

Are they going to call or email you? OR do they mean check your mailbox by 5th?

I think I will check the USCIS website to see if there is any further information on the 4th. I don't think they will call me. I do hope they will email me about the bio appointment if possible.

I will definitely call them tomorrow morning if I don't see anything today. Not sure if they are going to entertain me, but I have to try.. lol
