I also thought about that..it's so frustrating

I hope the the fact that we haven't received the bio appointment letter has nothing to do with the RFE, because I have noticed that people who got a RFE or RFIE have actually done their bio part. We are not even there yet, lol!

Either way I'm hoping for us to get our bio appointment very soon..

No appointment today. We did open referral 2 weeks ago and when we call yesterday the gentleman we talked to said they are suppose to make a decision or action on it by Oct. 4. Until then he can not open another one. He was very helpful and patience.

Oh I notice you are in RockFord,IL . We are about an hour away in Montgomery,IL.

I called yesterday because it was really frustrating to wait for the Biometric's schedule. I told them " i am very much willing to wait but I am really anxious about the status of my biometric's schedule since I haven't received any update or mail. I joined a visa forum about August Filers for AOS and most of them were done with their biometrics- I wanna know what could have been the issue of the delay since since it was showing on my end that they received my payment last August 16"

The customer service made a notation: an inquiry to the biometric's office here in Washington. I received the email this morning and the biometrics office received the USCIS email last August 16,2016 and failed to forward the schedule for me. Wasted more than a month :( But atleast I got a new appointment now. October 18.

At least you got information. Ours is still assigned to immigration officer, and nothing more.

Try to call them. I think the issue is within the Biometrics Office. Once they've received your Biometric's Fee they will inform the Biometric's Office in your area and they're supposed to make you an appointment. That's why I said I didn't receive any mail after the confirmation that the payment was accepted last August 16. That would give them reason to check your status as well as the Biometrics Office- rather than giving you an advice to wait for 30 days before they'll get back to you. The agent who answered my call yesterday sent an inquiry to Seattle's Biometrics Office and they found out that they're supposed to mail me my schedule way back August 16.

I called them but they told me that I called on the 19th of Sep with a referral number. So they won't do anything until another 30 days. Did you speak to a level two officer or just the first one who answered the phone?

Just the 1st one. Another thing I did was last September 27 i did an online inquiry on their website "myUSCIS". Click Submit A Case Inquiry - Did not receive notice by mail- Choose I-485 (Fill out the Form) and you'll see below What notice was not received?- Choose Appointment- then type the date when your fingerprint fee was accepted and up to this date your biometrics schedule hasn't arrived yet.

You can private message me if you need a little help :)

I sent off my RFE documents today via Certified mail.....should be delivered by Monday. I sure hope this does it. I read ALL of the instructions and made sure that nothing

was missed. I even made a list....for THEIR convenience! :) Especially since some of them, I KNOW they should already have. Probably lost.

Now, without further ado......let's finish this thing!
