Were you given a number when you called?

The lady gave her name and employee ID i guess on the beginning of the call but did not give anything after the call.

(F) February 24,2014-we officially became a couple

(L) March 16,2015- we got married in the Philippines

Our AOS Journey:

March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.

Does anybody got a mail today for bio appt?

I havent check mine. My husband wanted till the end of the day. I doubt i get it today but im still hoping.

Is the National Benefit Center the one handling your application? We have same timeline, only difference is I had my biometrics done August 31 but haven't heard anything. When I track, everything is still "Received".

Yes it is NBC. I think the process also depends on the state as well. Did you filed for AOS based on k1 visa ?

I was just checking the cases in the app (500 cases below and 500 cases above mine) and it seems most of the cases around mine are "ready to schedule for an interview" or "request for additional information". Only a few cases like mine are still under "biometrics fee received". Oh and there were a few of "notice was returned because the post office could not deliver".

Does everyone get interviewed or are there cases where they don't interview you anymore?

Me too. My case still hasn't moved since biometrics. Still says "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" for AOS and "Case Was Received" for EAD. I had my biometrics Sept 7.

I noticed many of those who got their cases working online early still haven't gotten their biometrics letter yet. Not that it is any cause for concern. It's just that many of us on this thread who got our biometrics appointment letter early only got our cases working after the scheduled appointment. Maybe that's their way of managing all the paperwork? In any case, it's a good thing you guys are simultaneously calling USCIS. They might be forced to expedite sending your letters haha! Good luck!

Am not sure if they will still transfer our case to local office but that's posible. I am still waiting for the interview letter, maybe when I get it I will know more.

Can anyone tell me what happens at the biometrics? Do they just take fingerprints or a picture too ?

I'm not sure about your other questions but I do know that the driver's license expires when your k1 visa expires. :(
