My package was delivered on the 18th, received date for AP and EAD is August 19th (haven't gotten hard copies of NOA1s), so similar dates to many of the previous posts, and we just got the bio letter today. Appointment is for next Monday, the 19th.

Wow good for you. Mine's Aug 16 and till now still waiting for biometrics letter ???

Hello all August 2016 AOS filers!

I used this website extensively during June and July to help with our AOS application for my wife. We married in mid-July and filed our official paperwork soon after. She is a Canadian citizen and we are adjusting her status, requesting travel documents, requesting the employment authorization, etc. I thought that since the dust has settled a bit, and since we're now play the waiting game, I thought I would weigh in with our time line so it can help put others minds at ease.

-Documents mailed officially on Aug. 8.

-Document package received at Chicago Lockbox on Aug. 12.

-Received four text messages (I didn't receive any emails) for NOA on Aug. 20.

-Received all four NOA hard copy letters for each of the forms we submitted on Aug. 25.

-Received the biometric screening appointment notice on Sept. 10. The appointment is scheduled for Sept. 23.

From what I have read on here versus what we are experiencing as far as timeliness for each step, we look like the average. So if you are a little bit longer no need to worry at all. Hang in there.

Also, as of last week, my case status on USCIC dot com was listed as "not found" or whatever they use to say that it's not in their reporting system yet. Not too worried about that yet, as other people have had a similar experience with checking their case status. Just tried again and the site was down. Will try again this week.

Thanks for having me in the forum, and I'm looking forward to tracking this process with the rest of you.

Our case numbers were finally working in the USCIS website. I expected there to be a more up to date status, but all it says is that they were received, and that the bio screen went out, and if we haven't received anything by a certain date to call a number. That was anticlimactic.

What is everyone's view on going in early for the biometric screening, ahead of the appointment that was scheduled on our behalf? Will going in 10 days early really cut down on the total processing time? Or should we play by the rules and go when we were scheduled?
