I got on sep. 7th my biometrics and i am really nervous. What all do i need to bring? Someone told me to bring my medical too because I didnt send it in yet, should I really do that?

There are instructions on the letter you received, just follow them. Also, if you're using your married name on the aos forms, be sure to bring a copy of the marriage license as well

They didn't give you much advanced warning? I suppose a week and a half isn't hugely bad. I worry mine will clash with my husbands work as can't apply for a licence until I have EAD.

On another note my hard copy of NOA1 arrived yesterday. My husband was so excited he wouldn't let me open them and then was disappointed when it was just a bit of paper lol.

Yea, but it's fine. I figured it'd be in the next 2 weeks or so.

I applied for my permit, and should have my full NY licence by then, last part of the road test is next week. I am still able to drive on my UK licence though, so easy enough getting there. Though it is 100 miles away haha.

Spoke with the DMV, since my licence will lapse on 10/5 from temp visitor status, but apparently that will just mean I can't use it as ID, I'd still be valid to drive, though, I am still valid for 120 days after I arrived 7/8, so covered anyway on UK licence. Then just need EAD to reconfirm the ID part?

Seems strange, but whatever.

Went to my biometrics appointment today,it was around 30 mins and they didnt ask for anything just the passport and letter but i brought our marriage cert just in case..how long before we hear back from them after the biometrics?

Let's keep each other updated w our progress so that we have an idea around when to expect the EAD and GC :)

Just a question, where is the EAS processed if i filed it w the AOS? Is it in the USCIS local office (MI in my case) or in the lockbox where i passed it?

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Happy to hear you're done with the biometrics :) i'm not sure though how long would it take to hear from USCIS on the next step or update. But as far as what I've read from other experiences, it took almost a month for their cases to be updated or "touch' by someone from the USCIS.
