Got my NOA1 e- notifications last night yaay!!! Although I can still see the money on my account hmmmm strange American banking...

Don't worry about the money, they Will eventually cashed it. Sometimes it takes later after the NOAs but maybe they've already cashed and the bank haven't show up the updates yet. :)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

I sent out I-485/I-765/I-131 for my wife and step daughter on 7/29/2016 via USPS priority mail to USCIS Chicago. Based on USPS tracking, it was delivered on 07/30/2016 (Saturday). I guess I probably belong to August filing group. :)



I still have yet received any emails/text from USCIS, no hard copy of NOA either. And checks have not been cashed. Should I concerned? Please advise. Thanks.

Joining the wait too...my package got delivered via fedex last aug. 3..heard nothing yet :(

Welcome to the forum. :) it's actually really quiet here right now as there is NO much progress in out cases. But hopefully we'll have some good news soon. :)

Nope. Definetly nothing to worry about right now. It takes a little time so we need extra patience. It could take up to 2 or 3 weeks before you can here from them, well at least as far as I've rear from other experiences. But hopefully we'll all have progress sooner than later. :)

Hey everyone! We sent off my wife's AOS on August 2nd and it was received on August 4th (Thursday). We still haven't had a text/email NOA1 and our check hasn't been cashed. How long should it take? I know for our I-129F it took 6 days total from the day it was sent off until everything was cashed and the text/email was sent.

Hey everyone! We sent off my wife's AOS on August 2nd and it was received on August 4th (Thursday). We still haven't had a text/email NOA1 and our check hasn't been cashed. How long should it take? I know for our I-129F it took 6 days total from the day it was sent off until everything was cashed and the text/email was sent.

You can't actually tell because it depends on USCIS. As I was reading some of the posts here in the site some people get notifications as early as 6 days after the Chicago office received the packet however most of the experiences take longer to receive theirs. It can be up to 2 or 3 weeks.

It's to early to get worried for now. But hopefully we all get the notifications/NO As for our cases sooner. :)

I did not expect to be notified until next week but Praise God.

Got the texts and emails for AOS, EAD, AP this early morning at 2 AM! Such a weird hour for USCIS. Lol

I did not expect to be notified until next week but Praise God.

Also, the check was not cashed yet.

Wow so happy for you? you're one step closer. :)

Hope we'll get ours early next week.

Our Story:

:idea: May 31,2011-we met thru a common friend in FB (we've been bestfriends since then)

(F) February 24,2014-we officially became a couple

:wub: November 25,2014 - got engaged

(L) March 16,2015- we got married in the Philippines

Our AOS Journey:

March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.

·         02/13/2020 - Naturalization notice dated February 12 available online

·         02/18/2020 - Naturalization notice dated February 12 in the mail

·         03/11/2020 - Naturalization Ceremony - US CITIZEN!

·         03/11/2020 - Status Changed to Certificate Of Naturalization Was Issued

US Passport application

·         03/11/2020 - Applied for US Passport at local USPS with expedite service

·         03/16/2020 - Received email that Application is In Process

·         03/17/2020 - Check was cashed

·         03/23/2020 - Received email that Application is Approved

·         03/26/2020 - Received the Passport Book in the mail

·         03/27/2020 - Received the Certificate of Naturalization in the mail
