On friday we recieved both a hard copy letter saying that our petition for permanent resident had been approved and we received....drum roll please.....the ACTUAL GREEN CARD!!!!!! This is so exciting

I can see I have something in the mail from USCIS. Not sure if an RFE or approval because the online status update did not change. Things are still moving though apparently.

Received my greencard in mail yesterday, did not receive any approval notice in mail, just in the app. I thought I wouldnt receive the card until next week. very happy :)

Do I need the approval notice in the future? Thanks.

Is the A# on your GC the same as the A# on your notices? Just Curious because I think I read somewhere that they would be different.

Congratulations on your such good news!

I am curious, when did you get the notice for your interview?

Because on the USCIS processing time website, it says that in San Jose office, they are still processing cases from December 2015. So I have seen or heard many people like you that have had their interview or approval way before the online indicated processing time, is it because the cases were based on marriage?

I hope I can get my interview soon, instead of waiting for another 6 months......

Me too, San Jose office here as well. Got my ead but no update yet on my i475. Still "fingerprint fee received" since August 22... ?

How many days after it was approved do you get the actual GC?

I thought it would be 2 weeks from approval. But i got approved last Monday Dec 5 then received the card December 8.

Is the A# on your GC the same as the A# on your notices? Just Curious because I think I read somewhere that they would be different.

The time line only shows their oldest case they work one so dont listen to this. My local office still shows November 2015!!! some times there are just cases that take forever but this doesnt mean you have to wait until they moved their time line to August 2016.

The A# stays always the same and never changes doesnt matter what. Think of it as a SSN for immigrants you get one and it stays the same no matter what.

​Ours hasn't budged since September 26th even though tier 2 said it was waiting for an interview date. So not sure where we are? Does anyone know how long it could take to get an interview date? Do they do it specific times of each month? Wishing you all the best.
