Hello do I qualify for student aid? I want to go to cosmetology school (Paul Mitchell), I have a pending I-485 AOS and I also have my EAD/AP combo card catagory (C09), could I apply for student aid or any type of aid?

You do need the green card to get financial aid from colleges but this might be a bit different for cosmetology school

Did you submit your medical packet when you filed for AOS or did you bring your medical packet when you went to your interview?

i brought it to the interview but it didnt matter if i send it in earlier I would still need to do the new medical.

You should. If the doctor tested you for gonorrhea than you will be.

I just checked the I-693 medical form on USCIS again, and the form is still the version from 03/30/15 and valid til 03/31/17, which should be the same one for those who did their medical exam before August?

I did find a box for gonorrhea to be ticked if it is reactive. So how do we make sure that gonorrhea is tested? Or as long as that box isn't ticked then we're fine? But is gonorrhea even able to be tested by blood, or a swab sample is needed I think?

Dont worry she didnt even care about it. She asked if we have any evidence like joined bank accounts or insurances and if she would have looked through our evidence she would have seen that I send it already in.

We just applied for a joined bank account and we have renter's insurance.

Can you please share your experience with us? And do they still do stamps on the passport?

They did not stamp the passport. The questions were incredibly straightforward: is this your first marriage? Can i see lease, banking, insurance documents? They took both of our passports and driver'a licenses to take down. It was 1000X smoother of a process than I had ever anticipated.

Just received my husband's EAD in the mail. It was approved on Nov 2nd, no updates until we received it today (so stays never changed to "Card was Mailed". The status changed so "Card was Delivered" right after I found it in the mailbox.
