On friday we recieved both a hard copy letter saying that our petition for permanent resident had been approved and we received....drum roll please.....the ACTUAL GREEN CARD!!!!!! This is so exciting

Alex, this is the online uscis update, waiting for the letter to show up in the mail.

Chicago.

It says on the status online which date it's is, just not the time and place (place you can find out going to uscis website and looking for your local field office, time only by letter)

As of November 16, 2016, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, for interview.

​Every other detail should be in the mail i presume.

You misunderstood then. Your interview was not scheduled. This is to let you know your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview, you will now have to wait until your field office has an opening and just then your interview will be scheduled, it can take months on this status

Seems to be a lovely day . . .

Went downstairs to check the mails, and i saw boom Priority Mail from USPS. Wow wow, my combo card EAD and Advance Parole is in my possession.

Looks like am going to buy myself a goodbottle of red wine. :rofl:

Still a delightful news anyway! Some wait months and do not hear nothing. Will enjoy my day pal!!!

:idea: May 31,2011-we met thru a common friend in FB (we've been bestfriends since then)

(F) February 24,2014-we officially became a couple

(L) March 16,2015- we got married in the Philippines

Our AOS Journey:

March 1,2016 - I arrived in the US with a B2 visa (visitor)

Day 00: August 4,2016 - we submitted our AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-765) (USPS Priority Mail)

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Day 112: November 28,2016 - Applied for SSN

Day 118: December 3,2016 - SS card received in the mailbox :)

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.
