I went to an infopass today and found out my AOS interview has been scheduled for Dec.8th. They told me it was scheduled on Nov.9th, which means if I don't come to the infopass I would still receive the interview notice in the mail sometime this week. I am super excited! Good luck to all of us! Glad things are moving along!

Hey Guys, Do you know if it's possible to get a student loan while AOS application is pending? I took a break from school cuz I couldn't continue funding it and I'm willing to return in January. Do anyone know any bank that would be willing to give me a student loan without a cosigner?

When we got electronic notification that EAD was approved, the wife filled out some job applications. It looks like she made it past the interview - to the background check stage of one of them, but the status still says "November 2, card is being produced." Hopefully it gets mailed today or tomorrow! We are very much looking forward to it.

Congrats to her! Well done.

My husband's EAD got approved on the same day and our status hasn't changed yet either to mailed. Hoping it will change tonight.

We were able to extend my husband's learner's permit (learning to drive!) based just off of the approval letter - they looked him up in the SAVE database and gave him a learner's permit with the EAD expiration date. An employer might be able to also do that while you're still waiting to get the card. Just an idea.

I was able to start working when I didn't get my physical EAD yet because our state let me renew my DL. So if your spouses need to start soon, as long as their DL is renewed (serves as the Photo ID for the I9) plus the status that says EAD is produced, you can start.

If you dont have the green card yet almost every single bank requires you to have a co signer. There are a couple online banks that offer students loans for international students but you might not qualify for that anymore plus they have outrages interest rates.

AOS/EAD/AP sent: 29 July 2016

Package received: 1 August

Priority date: 2 August

NOA email: 12 August

NOA letter: 18 August

Biometrics appointment: 7 September

RFIE: 8 September

USCIS case status worked: 9 September

Interveiew scheduled: 6 October

EAD card produced: 7 October

AP approved: 7 October

Interview: 17 November

RFE: 17 November (got during the interview because my doc missed a test)

Green card approved: 5 December

Green card in production: 5 December

Green Card was mailed to me: 8 December

Do you know any of those banks? I have a pretty decent credit score.
