Hi guys, i just got my biometrics appointment for 8/31, unfortunately I will be out of state for our honeymoon. Do walk ins work? And do I have to take my wife (the USC) with me (I am the applicant - the husband) to the appointment? Thank you

They work for some offices. It's worth a try to go as soon as possible to see if they'll let you do it sooner. You can go by yourself, no problem.

They work for some offices. It's worth a try to go as soon as possible to see if they'll let you do it sooner. You can go by yourself, no problem.

Walked in, at 3:15, got out at 3:30. There was no one there but me. They told me that if I take it now it's possible that the computer won't accept it, but they scan it and it worked, they took my fingerprints and photo.

Thank you, I got my letter today at 1:30 PM and walked in at 3:15 PM. However the Biometrics Letter is dated 8/13, so it's been a week already since they sent it.

Also, I got a "biometrics processing stamp" on the letter.

Don't worry. It's normal! Some experiences took them 2 months to be able to access the receipt numbes. So don't worry too much. If you like uou can download the USCIS Case Status in Playstore. It will alert you in changes on your account. So you won't have to go to the website every now and then and get frustrated. Although you can still do that. ?

Day 172: January 27, 2017 - Received a text message from USCIS that there is a change in my case. I now have a schedule for interview and it's on March 2!

Day 175: January 30, 2017 - Received the Interview Appointment letter in the Mail! :) 

Day 206: March 2, 2017 - Interview schedule.
