My economy teacher and I had a really long conversation about this today (his wife came from russia about 20 years ago).First off he needs to be come president until then you shouldnt even worry. If he gets elected he doesnt move in the white house until January and from history no president made any major decision within the first days/weeks. If he should decide to stop the green card production (which i highly doubt he will do) he needs to present it to the congress which takes a while too and the congress needs to pass the bill. It is most likely that the congress wont pass the bill.

So until its for sure that Trump will become the next president you shouldnt worry at all and even if i think there is really no need to worry.

The president can authorize a halt on immigration by proclamation (i.e. without going through congress). But I agree, it's very unlikely to happen.

Yay my interview is already scheduled for Dec 8! :D my status immediately jumped fr fingerprint fee being received to interview is scheduled. I was really worried that my case was lost in the pile or something, since my hairstylist said that happened to her fiancé.

Congratulations..

Got my Combo Card yesterday in the mail, yay!

Here's my timeline if it helps anyone...

08/29 - Paperwork received

09/24 - RFIE on I-485

09/28 - Biometrics appointment

10/05 - RFIE Response received on I-485

10/12 - Requested Expedite on I-765 - They sent a letter asking me to fax offer of employment.

10/24 - Card Produced

10/24 - I-131 Approved

11/03 - Card Mailed

11/07 - Card Received

My I-485 is still stuck on response received, any idea how long this will take before it updates? Should I put in a service request or call up USCIS to check and make sure its not stuck?

Thanks

Not sure if this helps. Mine was stuck on received response for rfe, for almost two months.

It only updated the other day because they want additional evidence.

Don't worry about it. Mine was stuck in fingerprint fee has been received until yesterday when the status changed to interview is scheduled. Just relax and be patient, I know it's difficult but don't worry.

Just put an SR in for my EAD to be expedited and produced quicker (if even possible) based on "USCIS Error" as I did not receive my biometrics appointment until day 82. Hopefully it works in my favor!

Just got a response for my today's inquiry from USCIS. Just buying time again :( It's day 77 today. At least that was kinda fast...

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly.

Does anyone know how much a RFE delays the application?

I'm approaching the 75 days for my EAD (NOA August 31). Can I still consider this date to ask for an inquiry or is it the date they received my RFE?

For my inquiry, do I need to consider the hard copy date or the online one?

Thank you

My RPE was received on Oct 13rd but my EAD still shown "new card is producing" on Oct 29th and i-131 got approval on Oct 31st. I think RPE affects i-485 but not i-765 or i-131. You can ask for SR if you really need it early :)

Yes. Many here in the forum did not actually pass the card was approved online but go straight to card in production after biometrics. So they did not receive the approval notice, just the card.
