​Hi just got notice the EAD card was mailed. I wonder if it's a combo card. Upon receiving your EAD card how long did some of you have to wait to get notice of approval on AOS or an interview date? Thanks!

Try a walk in? I got my bio appointment this past Friday night, went to one ASC, was unsuccessful and continued on to the next and was successful. My original appointment date was for Nov. 16th.

That was my initial plan but hubby just started a new work so he's hesitant to ask for a leave while he's still in training. And my local office don't usually entertain walk ins. So i just decided to wait for my real appointment and we ask his dad to take me.

Day 0: August 8, 2016 - Package arrived at USCIS Chicago Lockbox

Day 1: August 9, 2016 - Received date in NOA (Form I-797C, Notice of Action)

Day 9: August 17, 2016 - Notice date of NOAs

Day 11: August 19, 2016 (12:26am) - received email notifications that our application has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing.

Day 13: August 21, 2016 - all cases receipts are working online. Registered for email and text alerts.

Day 14: August 22,2016 - got hard copies of NOAs on the mail. Notice date is August 17, 2016.
Day 44: September 21,2016 - called USCIS to follow up my biometrics letter. I was given a referral number & was advised to wait & call again after 30 days if biometrics don't arrived. (30 days should be October 21).

Day 67: October 14,2016 - called USCIS again and request to talked to a tier 2. Tier 2 made request and sent it to my local office. Advised to call back again on the 29th if the biometrics letter don't arrive.

Day 84: October 31,2016 - received biometrics letter in the mail (finally! Almost 2 months from NOA 1 date)

Day 88: November 4,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Case was Approved' on October 31.

Day 91: November 7,2016 - received EAD approval notice in the mail

Day 98: November 14,2016 - Biometrics appointment in Tampa (in and out within 35 mins)

Day 99: November 15,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'New Card Is Being Produced'

Day 102: November 18,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Mailed to Me'

Day 106: November 22,2016 - I-765 (EAD) updated online to 'Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office' and found it in the mailbox! :)

Just got my EAD appoval notice today. It also says that the employment authorization document has been sent separately. So i was hoping my ead card is on its way too even though i still didnt have my bio done hehe

This is my opinion because this happens to me.

On Oct 21: my EAD card got approved (without any biometrics)

On Oct 28: did walk-in biometric. Same day, EAD changed to "Card being produced"

In your case, I don't think you will receive EAD without biometrics. And I have to wait for about 2 weeks for me to receive EAD card in mail (based on everyone's timeline)

So if you could, do walk-in biometric asap, so the system can change to "Card being produced" and you can get EAD sooner. Currently, the system is just waiting for your biometric to produce your biometrics. Or just wait till next Monday is fine for the appointment.

However, congrats on the approval. Your case is on the right track.

1/12/2019: 90- ROC filing window open
1/17/2019: Mail I-751 Package via USPS Certified Mail 
1/22/2019: Package arrived
1/28/2019: Receive case number via text message  #WACxxxxxxxxxx
2/21/2019: Call USCIS for non-delivery notice receipt

This is my opinion because this happens to me.

On Oct 21: my EAD card got approved (without any biometrics)

On Oct 28: did walk-in biometric. Same day, EAD changed to "Card being produced"

In your case, I don't think you will receive EAD without biometrics. And I have to wait for about 2 weeks for me to receive EAD card in mail (based on everyone's timeline)

So if you could, do walk-in biometric asap, so the system can change to "Card being produced" and you can get EAD sooner. Currently, the system is just waiting for your biometric to produce your biometrics. Or just wait till next Monday is fine for the appointment.

However, congrats on the approval. Your case is on the right track.

Yeah, that i was thought also. Well, in some cases they don't actually need biometrics to produce EAD because they can just use the photo i submitted together with my application and have the fingerprint fee area as fingerprint unavailable. I can have that too and what yoi said is possible too. We'll see. ☺ i can't do early walk in right now as no one will drive for me. So I'll eait until Monday. ?

so the last two days where strange. I got two text messages from USCIS that my case (EAD card) was updated and when i looked it was all the same old. i was surprised because I already got my EAD card. Well today short after midnight I got an other text saying that my EAD card case status got updated so I looked again and it was still the same. And now i got the text again. I dont know whats going .

Does anybody know if Trump being elected could affect us? Or do you think we are safe because we are already on the process? I read that he wanted to stop green cards... I'm also on a same sex marriage, so I hope he doesn't overturn it cause he also said that...

My economy teacher and I had a really long conversation about this today (his wife came from russia about 20 years ago).First off he needs to be come president until then you shouldnt even worry. If he gets elected he doesnt move in the white house until January and from history no president made any major decision within the first days/weeks. If he should decide to stop the green card production (which i highly doubt he will do) he needs to present it to the congress which takes a while too and the congress needs to pass the bill. It is most likely that the congress wont pass the bill.

So until its for sure that Trump will become the next president you shouldnt worry at all and even if i think there is really no need to worry.
